Stability ball workout?

How do you log a stability ball workout?

that is a good question

I think it is about 140 calories per half hour 

I was wondering about sitting on a stability ball instead of a chair some articles say that it helps build your core.  Does anyone do this and does it help?

I never used the ball myself....But friends that use it have killer tummies. The one is sculpted round even with being a little overweight. It really does seem to tuck your tummy in like crazy at whatever weight you are at.

Someone else had that question earlier and the suggestion was to use 'pilates' since they tend to work the same muscle groups.  That's what I've been doing.  There's a thread somewhere on CC asking 'the powers that be' to add a stability ball workout to the list so I added my request to that as well.  It would be nice to have!

If I am using the stability ball with weights, I use light weight training. If I use it to do crunches, and push ups and such, I log it as calisthenics.

I sit on a stability ball at work instead of a chair and it has really helped strengthen my core. My back is so much stronger. And when I start slouching my back starts to hurt so it is a constant reminder to sit up straight.
