Stable weight points?
Apologies if this has been discussed already, but I'm not sure how to search this topic.
Anyway, I've lost close to 25 lbs and I'm getting fairly close to going into maintenance. I've been wondering, though, if there is any evidence, either scientific or anecdotal, that certain weight points are easier to maintain for a given individual. I mean, is it possible that 185 is hard to maintain, but 180 or 190 is easier?
I'm basing this speculation on my knowledge from engineering that for complicated systems there can be more than one stable operating point. Therefore I would not in the least be suprised if this were true of the human body.
Anyone have knowledge or personal experience relevant to this idea?
I don't think there's evidence about particular numbers but there's some anecdotal evidence that bodies have 'happy weights'
A healthy weight at which you can live life without too much dedicated calorie counting and effort.
This is a great question. I'm curious what others have experienced.
How does one choose an appropriate final goal range and/or find our personal "happy weight"?
Whatever you body adjusts too. Few month ago my "stable" point was around 136-137. I then lost few pounds, didn't really plan to just happened, now my "stable" point seems to be around 133.
