Hi, I started CC on the 18th. I haven't lost anything yet but my goal is 25lbs. I am 5'10" and currently 180lbs, I'd like to be around 155lbs before June. Would anyone like to join my group so we can help each other stay motivated???

Not sure why this is... I've been running latley and working out alot.  I did go out to Kobe on Sunday night, but wtf?  Hopefully a lot of it is water weight.

Karey, don't let it get you down!  You've been doing terrific thus far.  Maybe your muscles are just retaining water from all the working out.  You'll probably be back to 139 tomorrow!

I've been wondering if I've been eating enough for all the activity & exercising I do... I just recently thought about upping my calories to about 1500 or so.  Maybe my body is in "starvation mode"?  I need to research it some more to find a good estimate of what I should be eating...  FRUSTRATED.

Seem to yo yo between these two weights at the mo!! But still weighing quite a bit less than my start weight. I haven't really worked out this week, just been feeling really tired. But my goal for the next month is to get into the 160's. I am so close. My overall goal is only to reach my start weight by the time i am full term at xmas!

Will you still be sticking around?? Youre all so close to goal now, i'm jealous!!

Clare~ Congrats on the loss!!  That's pretty amazing considering you're pregnant!  You go girl!  I'll probably still hang around the forums when I reach my goal because if I stray away too far I'm pretty sure I'll end up gaining back again.  I think I need to count calories for a long time still if I want to stay thin.

Good news this morning!  I weighed myself again after drinking a TON of water and green tea yesterday and working out for 2 hours... 139 today!!!  yay, that's more like it.  :D

Yay Karey!  See I knew that 142 wasn't right!  Thanks for the compliments on the pics!  I need to find one of the dog and then the family will be complete!

Clare, don't worry I'll be sticking around.  I think this will be a lifetime struggle for me.  I can always use the support & motivation!

Thanks Renee!  I feel much better now, but I still feel I should be below 139, but at least I'm not gaining now!  I've upped my calories because of all the exercise I do (and dizzy spells I had), so we'll see how that goes.  What kind of dog do you have?

I have a Golden Retriever.  His name is "Farley" (after Chris Farley who died right before we got him). Unfortunately, he has had horrible skin allergies since about a year old (he's almost 11 now).  We've tried everything out there!  Right now he's just getting a steroid shot every 3 months to keep him as comfortable as we can before the eneitable.  He's the best dog ever and he sooo did not deserve to be miserable all his life.

Awww, poor guy!  Farley is such a cute name for a dog.  I'm assuming you've already tried the oatmeal shampoo, hypo shampoo and medicated shampoos... I did a golden recently that had the worst skin - she kept constantly scratching herself bloody!  It smelled so "funky" too, that nothing seemed to make her smell any better.

I bet she had the same problems as mine.  It's really an issue with goldens.  They end up getting "secondary" infections from the skin allergies and that's probably what you smelled.  She probably had a bacterial infection on her skin.  Ear infections are common with them too, talk about stinky!!

Not much movement in my numbers...  I've been doing a lot of working out and strength training, running, etc.  I'm kind of thinking that maybe I'm just building a lot more muscle, which is keeping the numbers hanging in the same area... I think I definitely look more toned, but I want the numbers to go down.

Karey, don't worry about it!  You want that muscle.  In the long run it will burn the fat more efficiently.  Also, I learned last week that by lifting weights and building the muscle you will "look" leaner.  Apparently, a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat.  So all though the scale is not moving right now you probably are appearing to be leaner.  I agree it's hard because we want to see "THE number".

Last week 171, and this week 171!!

Pretty pleased with that. My fiance Valentino had a week off work last week so we were both a lot more relaxed about what we ate. I also had a friend over for dinner and made an eggplant parmagiana that was loaded with cheese followed by a chocolate tart!! So i'm happy to have maintained. Valentino took me shopping and treated me to some new maternity clothes as the ones from my last pregnancy are too big, which is a good sign!! And i fitted into a pair of size 10 jeans!!! I think thats your size 6!! I was beside myself!! My weight sounds so heavy compared to both of you, but for my frame somewhere in the 150's is great. I am quite athletically built, a bit beyonce on the legs and bum, so can afford to be heavier.

Renee, i was looking at your gallery, you look great!!

I should try and upload some pics, we are now using a mac and i'm still getting used to it!!

clare ~ I LOVE eggplant parmagiana!  I'm soooo jealous!  I've started a real strict diet plan (long story short is I have a 20-year reunion coming up)  and I'm giving myself one cheat meal a week now.  I did German food last week and I'm looking forward to the Italian one soon!  I just love ethnic foods.  Great job on staying at your weight.  And the way your clothes are fitting is a great indication of how well you're doing!

Renee~  Wow!!!  You're doing great... I'm soooo jealous of your loss!  What's your secret?  I hope you're right about my putting on the muscle and becoming leaner, because not seeing the scale move down is depressing me.

Clare~ I'm jealous you can be eat all that wonderful food while being pregnant and still fit into a size 6!!  It took me forever to get to the six... now the 6's are getting big, but 4 seems a little small still.  You're going to look great!  Your build must be nice and athletic.  :D
