Hi, I started CC on the 18th. I haven't lost anything yet but my goal is 25lbs. I am 5'10" and currently 180lbs, I'd like to be around 155lbs before June. Would anyone like to join my group so we can help each other stay motivated???

Welcome back shea!! You don't have to worry about being way behind, i stayed on here but kind of played around with the same seven pounds. Anyway now i am pregnant its made me get my ass in gear, and i'm currently  weighing  less than when i started. But come Jan i'll be  really going for it as i will be wedding dress shopping, so we can do it together!

I've been struggling to figure out this maintenance thing and I'm not really sure what I'm doing, lol.  I don't think it's too unusual to gain a little when switching until my body gets adjusted.  Hopefully it's some water weight since I ate a lot of salty stuff yesterday, but I'm not gonna stress over it yet.

Not such a good week for meFrown.

I have really struggled with tiredness and canceled a few workouts! I did manage two three hour walks though and one 20 min cardio session so better than nothing. My eating has left a lot to be desired though as i have suddenly developed a craving for really salty snacks and been polishing off pringles!! I also baked a fudge cake and an apple crumble in the same week!! I have now decided to go back to counting calories, not to restrict them but just to keep a check on what i am eating. I haven't really gained any weight thats not baby, but watching the scales creep up is starting to bother me a bit!!! I can't wait until she is born.

clare ~  can you fly over here and bake me a fudge cake? LOL

karey ~ I've heard maintenance is tough.  You'll find the right formula for yourself.  Don't worry about little gains here and there.  I'm sure it's not "real" weight anyway.

Clare~  Hang in there!  Sounds like you're doing great with all the exercise though!  I'm amazed that you even feel like exercising at all (don't think I would).

Renee~  Wow, look at you!  That's quite a loss, congrats!!  What's your goal?

It gets easier when you see yourself getting close, when other people notice it, and when you look in the mirror and can say "man, I look good!"


Everything until then is pretty much a battle, but you have to just keep going. Even if you fail, just keep trying.  I have had to re-start about 3 times now in the past 2 years or so.  Eventually, I will train myself to not sabotage it all once I am done.

What's my goal?  That's a great question karey.  The answer is: I don't really have one.  I'm not trying to lose "weight" anymore - I'm trying to lose "fat".  Obviously the lower numbers on the scale are appealing, however that's not my focus any longer.  I just keep eating clean and working out and that's what's happening.  I'm not in this for weight loss per say anymore ~ I just want to be fit.  I had my body fat checked today and it's 22% (down from about 30% I think in March).  Ideally, I would like to be at 18%.  I just want those "mushy" parts to be gone!

Renee~  I'm with you there!  I want all of my "mushy" parts to be gone too!  I may stop weighing in on Tuesdays since I'm not trying to lose anymore, just maintain.  If my weight fluctuates a little here and there, that's fine.  If it goes more than 5 lbs in either direction, then I may have to be concerned, but otherwise it's fine.  Just trying to maintain my size 4 and tone up.  :)

I completely forgot about the weigh in today. My stomach's been a little weird lately and I think I may have a little stomach bug or something which actually kinda seemed to help a little even though I know it's probably just water loss....

Good morning girls!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I had 2 big "cheat" meals this weekend AND time of the month started today, so...I'm up a pound from last week's weigh-in.  I'm not worried about it though.  It'll come back off.

Me, well I'm the exact same I was last week (136.8), which is perfectly fine since I am in maintenace.
