I joined this website a little over two months ago and I havent really stuck to it all the way and I have lost very little weight.  The reason I'm starting this thread is to just say that I am officially starting over and taking this seriously.  For some reason announcing this to the world makes it feel more official. lol.

lol, that's really awsome that you are starting again. I wish you luck in sticking to it this time! :D
Second time around is sometimes the charm. I started this site and screwed up for two months...then I made a firm decision to stick with it. I have lost about 20 lbs since then, about four months ago.
I agree, it does make it official.

I just recently recommited. (today, in fact).

I started over w/ a new, higher calorie goal, so that I won't feel deprived or feel the need to binge.  Somehow, even though I was aiming higher today (1900) I actually only ate slightly over 1600... usually on days like today, with my activity level, I eat around 2000...

It feels good to recommit.
Yay.  People responded.  :)
spikey -- good luck! I've had to recomitt a few times myself. ;)

You can do it!  This lifestyle really really works, so once you commit to it, you will start to feel amazing about yourself.  I also have found that announcing your intentions to the world makes you stick to them better.  My diet is going well, so I have been focusing on increasing the intensity of my exercise.  I have taken up running, and I am telling anyone who knows me about my long term goals, so that there is no backing out! :)
you can do it!

The same thing happened ot me.  I lost like 3 lbs, then kinda slacked off.  then lost 2 more, then slacked off again.  I recommitted and as of this mornign I'm down 15 lbs!

good for you for declaring your new start!  I think it will help you.  good luck!
I've started and stopped many diets but the knowledge and support from this website has helped me tremendously!  If it can help an old dog like me I know you can succceed!

Yeh, Im re commiting myself today for like the 10 millionth time. ive rally had enough now. it's come to the desicion of quiting working in my mums deli to get a job that's not in a food environment so i can finally get on with it.
