Starting over
Hey, I've read quite a few of your posts and you've always been such an encouragement to people feeling blue...
You've had so many stressors go on in your life, it's kind-of amazing that you've put on so LITTLE! Try to look at your life objectively and you'll probably see that you are a very busy person...
Is there any way you can get out your stress with exercise? I mean, if you need to eat more, you could lower your cortisol levels with regular cardio and not suffer too many consequences from nighttime eating.
The harder you are on yourself, the more you're going to want to give in to the chip-demon lurking in your cupboard (or chocolate-devil, or cookie-monster, etc). Look at your recent gain as a temporary set-back and tell yourself that it's a darned good thing you caught it before it went back up over 200. I mean, you're not in the same mental mind-frame as you were when you were at your heaviest -- proof positive is that you recognise the slips and want to take care of them. Remind yourself of your original goals and just how awesome you are taking care of your kids and working in an extremely challenging profession, to boot. Or, you could simply try to see yourself in the eyes of your kids -- would THEY be this hard on you? No! They LOVE you for the perfect mommy that you are (because there is no one else on this planet that is better suited to be their mom).
Kudos for your acuity. Go for the gold, m'dear.
Thank you for the kind words, just what I needed!
