Is anyone trying the P90X program. I will be starting it some time early next week. I might even post before and after pics. Wish me lots of luck!!
There are a few in here doing P90X. I am currently working on just the power 90 series. Once I make it through that and the masters, then maybe power 90. Good luck!!!
Hey, I'm on day 71 of power 90 also and in 19 days will start Power 90 masters. Ihave the X and will do that after the Masters.
Did you do the regular P90 or masters?
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, ladies

well, ty & you're welcome. It is kinda embarassing to post the day ones, but you just hope everyone looks at the "new & improved" you more :)
Just to make sure, you know that the X is an intense & extreme program right? I have no idea where your fitness level is, but if you've been doing a lot of exercise for a while, it should be no problemo.
I'm kinda glad they make the Masters Series. It's set up kind of like the X only not quite as demanding. It's got plyo & all that other fun stuff too. So by the time I'm done that I should be where I need to be to start the X. Can't wait to start the Masters!

I have lifted on and off for several years, and I run, too. I did the Fit Test, and the only thing I'm not at starting level with is the pull-ups. I can only do 1 negative pull-up, no real ones.
sounds like you're set! Have fun & let me know how intense it is K?

My husband just ordered the p90x series and I plan on doing it with him. I'm a little nervous but I really want the results. I'll check back in when we receive it.
I'm in the off week of the first phase of P90X
In other words, it my fourth week and this week is all about cardio and giving my muscles a rest from the lifting of the last 3 weeks.
I never did the P90 or the Masters series. I saw this on TV, downloaded the DVDs and decided to try it out. I probably started from further than most, but it just gives me more incentive.
Plyo is just a nasty routine. Its by far the hardest one in the bunch. But well worth it when you are done. I also find the Core Synergistics and Kenpo routines great fun. I'm not a big fan of the yoga, but thats me. In this week, I get to touch on the Strecht routine and will try and regular Cardio routine (the one they tell you to do if you aren't "Plyo ready")
I like the DVDs. They are sometimes kinda corny, but I like seeing and hearing the people having troubles with some of the routines. Hearing Tony pant and need to take extra breaks makes it a little bit more real.
I don't buy in to their recovery drink thing at all. Nor do I follow their health plan.
Their posting forums have some very smart people on there. The Fitness Advisor and Health Adivsor guys are awesome.
I started with the bands, and continuing with a mix of bands and weights.
I started on CC at 230 lbs. I got down to about 180 or so when I started with P90X. I'm still sitting at the same weight, but I have much better muscle definition, and noticable increase in strenght and my pants are looser. I eat more, and I'm aiming for more maintenance right now to ensure I get all the vitamins and nutrients my body needs.
All in all, its a great set of workouts. Things keep changing, which is fun. Your repeat things only once a week, for 3 weeks, then things are changed up

Actually, bigtwinky, I saw you in one of their forums over there. We just finished our first week, and, chrisjeff, my husband and I are doing it together as well. So far, I love it. I've actually been following their Fat Shredder Nutrition plan pretty closely. I have already lost 2 pounds and can see a little bit of definition that was not there before. I have my before pictures posted in the thread I'm a part of--XROX. We'll have to keep checking in with each other to post progress.--Good Luck!
lebrowne & bigtwinky, glad to hear you're loving the X. I get to start the Masters Series on April 29th after one week of recovery. I don't think I need the week off but the fitness advisors at BB insist that it will help, so on their advice I will lighten it up after Tuesday (my day 90) & jsut walk & do some stretching for a week. Its gonna drive me nuts!
The Masters looks like it's set up similar to the X, only easier, obviously. I have the x already, so after 90 days I'm onto that one!!!
Good luck to you both!!

I work out to some of my husband's P90X dvds I love the cardio routines! They are tough and get me really pumped!
I don't follow the whole thing though as I feel that I am already active enough in other areas in my life for adequate muscle definition.
P90X is great though... I recommend it to anyone who is fit enough to handle them...

My hubby and I started on 04/22 and holy crap this is no joke. ;) I love it though and it definitely feels like it's working. I have lost 5 lbs and my hubby lost 7lbs. That's just in 9 days! We are sort of following the fat shredder plan as well but I have made some modifications to the recipes. I'm in the same boat with you bigtwinky....I'm not real fond of the Yoga but hopefully that will get better as I get stronger.
Hi! I am Patrice and I just started P90x two weeks ago on Saturday. I love the program! I was a runner before I began the program and let me tell you it is hard core. Most of the time I am sweating my buns off and sore the following day. But I have results ALREADY. I took before pics so Ill post them soon! I am definately hoping to increase my flexiblity.
All because of deejlb I decided to by the Power90 series. After that I will get the X series. I love to do weights but lets start with this first.
Wow that's awesome gang! I have my X all ready to go, but I'm doing the Master Series first!!! It's the go-between for after you do Power 90 regular & the X. It's way more challenging than regular Power 90 but not as intense as the X. Although there are a lot of similar moves in MS as the X. I will finish the MS at the end of July & start X in August. I'm glad you all love it!! & chrisjeff- congrats on the losses already!!!

I wish we had this kind of thing over here! You guyes are getting AMAZING results!
This is the second day for my wife and I. We are doing it together. The first day, chest and back, kicked my butt. My chest, back, and abs are sore. I have worked with weights in the past and boy what a work out. We did the plyo this morning, what a butt kicker. I do not do alot of cardio, but I actually liked the plyo (could not keep up with Tony). The third day I will like, I like doing shoulders and Bi's. The ab routine at the end is a killer. My abs have never felt this way before. I have done all the programs before but nothing like this program. My calfs have always been in pretty good shape. After the second day they are popping out and sore...wow...what a great program. deejlb you are an inspiration to keep my wife and I going. I will attempt to post picks. Jim

I just finished the first recovery week. I have lost 7 pounds in 4 weeks and have seen some very good improvement in stamina and weight lifting, push-ups, etc. And I can now do 1 1 /2 pull-ups--could do none before starting P90X. Love, love, love it!!!
wow all! I'm glad the X is rockin you! & you're rockin' it!!!
I'm just loving the Master Series & I hope it preps me well for the X. I have already finished one week & am 4 days into week 2. The workouts rock & I know there are some things in the MS that are also in the X.
Keep it up all!
