Oh, and one cup of coffee in the morning.

Just had to get this in writing for myself.

are you fasting?
I'm hoping you mean only water to drink -- but you are still eating, right?

I mean, one day of just probably won't kill you but it probably won't help you either

You go girl!

If I could stop drinking soda I'd be a whole new person.  And that's the point, right?  :D

You mean just water to drink and sensible eating right? If not did you discuss this with your health care provider?
I'm wondering the same thing as Coach and Stacy. If you are on a temporary fast, and therefore having just water, ok. Or if you are having only water to drink as opposed to other drinks, but are still eating a sensible diet, that's ok too. But if you are going on an extreme diet of water only for an extended amount of time, other than for specific fasting purposes, please discuss that with a health care professional.
I'm guessing from her other posts that she's just switching off sodas.
Sorry to leave you guys hanging... only water to DRINK.  I am overloaded with artificial sweeteners!!

I am still eating sensibly, no worries.
Well then WOOHOO!!!  Laughing
Good choice.  I have been doing that for approx 6 months now.  I don't even miss the diet coke I used to drink.  I actually took a sip of my husbands diet coke one day and between the sweetness and carbonation thought I was going to hurl.  It tasted horrible.  Plus there is no health benefit to drinking it anyway.  I think you will be very happy with your decision!
oh i need help in that category...... lol

i am addicted to diet coke!

Aside from artificial sweeteners and caffeine (a natural diuretic), there's nothing wrong with a diet soda or two daily....it's comprised of mostly water, anyway....I myself stick to mostly water....but sometimes you just need that sweetness to squash any cravings.
I agree, diet soda will cut any sweet craving that I have, if I need it.  But if I have it in the house, I drink it too much.  I feel better and seem to have better luck with weight loss when I stick to water.  The occassional soda will be consumed, though.  Maybe when I eat out according to my 'once a week' rule.
I guess I'm lucky that I never really enjoyed soda or diet drinks....can't tolerate the carbonation! But I really do like water...icy cold with lemon if possible. But I'll even drink it room temp if that's all there is. These days, I find myself really noticing the thirst, and have a bottle of water handy at all times. Oh sure, I have to go to the ladies room frequently, but it keeps the toxins flushed out of my body.
i need caffeine to live
I usually only have water to drink throughout the day. Sometimes I will get in a mode where I want a few gatorade or Sobe fruit drinks but I have a few and then back to water. It does help to give the body a change up every once in awhile because like someone said above that they found they can't even stand the taste of it now which is showing you how much your body is changing just by your lifetime choices.
For my sweet tooth cravings I put the Crystal Light packets in water.  5 cals/serving and 2 servings in a bottle so 10 cals.  I recently got Lipton Rasp White tea which is NO cals and I really like it!  I too was addicted to diet coke and now can barely drink it!  Occasionally have a sip of b/f's coke when eating out but after my detox (from diet coke) I no longer crave it and have lik 10 different kinds of crystal light to help!
So I've been drinking a lot more water, but I still had a coke zero yesterday.  I have some at home so I'm just going to use them up.  But I gotta say, drinking all this water makes me feel hungry all the time.  Like my stomach is empty.  I ate lunch at 12:30, and its 2 hrs later and I could eat another meal again.  I want to hold off til closer to 4 to have a snack before my workout but I dont know if I can!

I've started to eat healthier again in addition to tracking calories, but I think I have it in my head that 'healthier' food is less filling!  Even though, its probably the exact opposite.
Whew!!! I am so glad you are eating too! I was worried. Can you tell me something? I purchased one of those Aquafina sparkling carbonated beverages. It has 0 calories, 0 sugar (aspartame though) in each 8 oz serving. I can drink water I just don't like to and was wondering if anyone knew if this was an acceptable subsitute? I am a Diet Mountain Dew freak but should cut back. I think nothing of drinking 3 or 4 20 oz bottles a day.
Don't forget about tea! Black tea, herbal tea, whatever. It gives you something interesting to drink and you can add as little sugar as you want. WAY less sugar than a can of soda.
