well, i do it everyday. today im taking a break tho cause my muscles are so sore!

but id love to join you! how many cals do you think 1 hour really burns?

Hi Peace!  Welcome!  I read your reply to my journalSmile.  I want to start on a Monday so I'm doing RIU from SI6 tomorrow.  I did it today also.  My last day of SI6 was Wednesday.  So that's my plan.  I'll go over to the Beachbody boards and ask how many calories an hour burns and let you know!

Good job pushing play today.  I hope it's a good sore!

how much weight did you lose in slim in six? Was it fun?

Hey Peace,

This is a quote from the Beachbody's message boards:  "I was in the Turbo Jam Test group Dec. 2005 and what I heard from Chalene was that depending on how intensely you Jam you can burn between 500-1000 calories per HOUR. The average for women 500-700, men 700-1000. Hope that helps!"

I hope this info helps!

Hi Dietcoke!  Welcome!  I lost 17.5 pounds in 6 weeks.  I can't say it was all fun.  It was a challenging workout because I'm not used to working out.  If you look at my gallery, I think I got good results from the program.  I'm excited about starting Turbo Jam and I hear it's more fun than Slim in 6.  Let me say this:  Debbie promised me results and she delivered!  It was only 6 weeks and my body looks different!

Turbo Jam, here I come!  I love the Beachbody concept!!!

i count it as 300 cals/hour. what about yourself? do you personally count it as 500-700?

Hi Peace,

When I was doing Slim in 6, I considered it to be calisthenics when looking for comparable calorie burners here on this site. Using that info., I burn between 500 and 600 cals. an hour. Someone recommended, today, that I purchase a heart rate monitor to get a more accurate number. I need to ask more questions to find out how that works, but I sure would love to know exactly how many calories I was burning!

I just ordered Turbo Jam today on Amazon, largely because of all the rave reviews I've seen here on CC - I'm very excited about it too.

I'll be back after my first try!  Smile

Hi santonacci,

I hope you like it!  I start the 10-Day Kick Start tomorrow. I'm excited!!

Kimberly

Hi!
I just started Turbo Jam today, the Cardio Party II (44 minutes) dvd. My neighbor did Turbo Jam everyday for about 3 months and lost 30 lbs. I was doing Tae Bo which is a great workout but I am bored with the cheesy music and it is an hour long which is really long when you have two little kids needing your attention. Turbo Jam is wayyy more fun. I splurged and bought the package on her web site with the weighted sculping gloves so I am hoping it works as it good as it seems to. Let me know how it goes for you tomorrow!

Hi Beth,

I keep hearing that it's fun!  I'm so glad 'cause I'm looking for some fun.  I was so happy to finish SI6.  It's a really great workout and I got great results, but I'm looking forward to something fun and different.  I can wait to start tomorrow.  Are you doing the 10 day kick start?

Hi everybody,

I already finished SI6 about 2 mons ago.  I am still doing it right now.  SI6 is a great workout.  I want to try something else from beach body, so I already ordered the Hip Hop Abs and waiting to recieve it.

I heard you guys are all talking about Turbo Jam.  I want to join the Turbo Jam club, so I went ahead and ordered the Turbo Jam as well. I hope we all motivate each other for a better body and health!

Hi nle,

I love the beachbody products too!  I'm a coach and I really like helping people on the beachbody msg boards.  Now that you've order products from them, you have a coach now too.  They are there to answer any questions that you might have.  I post on here to let people know how good the beachbody support is and to help me stay accountable!

So welcome and KPP!

Kimberly

Hi Kimberly,

I borrowed a few of the dvd's from my neighbor so I just started using hers until my order comes in. Then yes I want to try the 10 day kick start. I have also tried Hip Hop Abs too. It's a fun workout but I was never quite sure if I was working my abs the right way so I haven't used it lately Laughing

I came on the fitness to do exactly this!  I am starting Turbo Jam and wanted to "do" it with someone!  I am not the most coordinated person and today I finally "mastered" the elite 11 moves and am ready to move on.  I moved on last week and realized that I was still struggling so went back to learn.  Now I am ready to burn!  I can't wait.  Even in the learn phase I can feel a small difference!  I am so excited about this.  It seems really fun and I am also glad taht she encourages weekends off!  I run around so much on weekends that that totally works for me!  Can't wait to get to know you all more!

Kathy

I just saw the Beachbody infomercial on tv this weekend.  They were promoting the P90X, but I noticed on their website there are alot more programs.  I've been doing spinning the past 5 months and basic weight training the last 3 months.  Does anybody know where I start on the beachbody programs?  On the website it mentioned the P90X was for advanced level, but I'm not sure what level I would be.  Used to do kickboxing 2 years ago, but really need to burn some fat and tone.  Any suggestions would be great.
I've been doing it every day for 2 weeks and I've seen great results. I do the 3 cardio parties, fat blaster, punch kick and jam + the 2 ball workouts, a different one each day and it's always fun. After a few days you'll notice a difference in your body which will make you stick to it even more. Think I'm addicted now and will keep doing it with all of you :)
My sister and I just ordered Turbo Jam this past weekend, I can't wait to get it and start working out!  I'll keep you posted!
