We have been sick so I went 4 days without working out...back to the 20 minute this morning. I want to get through that one without totally stumbling before I move to the cardio party...my daughters did that one though and said it was a blast! Forgot in just 4 days how great it makes you feel once you are done.
I need to get different sneakers though. Mine are rebbok's but the back cut into my ankles when I turn my feet...any suggestions? I don't have lots of money...
I have lost 5 pounds so far...It won't be a month on this new WOL until the 5th, so I am pretty happy with that.
Hi everybody! I started Turbo Jam last week, and I was wondering how long it took everyone to get the moves down... I think Im keeping up pretty well, Im just sort of obsessive about technique and I dont have as much "kicking" experience as "punching" experience if that makes sense...
I did lose an inch off my waist last week and I started TJ around Wendesday...Im starting to believe!

Maybe someone on here can shed some light on if this is horrible for your or not, but I tried it barefoot and my feet dont hurt anymore....

I started TJ on 2/18, doing CP approx, every other day. As of today, I still am not doing it exactly like Chalene is. The scissor running thing is giving me the most trouble and kicking with my toes pointed down instead of up takes a bit of getting used to.
Congratulations on your inch lost! That terrific! Welcome to the thread!

I used my new heart monitor today with CP1. I burned 378 calories. I was a bit disappointed because they advertise that you can burn between 700-1000. They must be talking about combining 2 routines like CP and TS.
I worked out with high intensity, however, I'm still only about 95% on the moves. I imagine the calories burned will go up a bit as I master the routine. But I'm thinking it wouldn't go much over 400 calories burned.
I guess for 45 minutes, 378 isn't too bad.

Oh Goodie we just got our order of Turbo jam in the mail yesterday - my sister and I are getting together at her house tonight to get our workouts on! WAHOO! I can't wait to start!
Welcome to the thread! I hope you and your sister love TJ. Chalene is very fun and upbeat!

did you track how much it burns for cardio party? or the 20-min workout?I just got it yesterday!
I'm doing cardio party tomorrow and I'll post what my calories burned were, but remember if you're not 43, weigh 138 and are 5'6, it's not going to be much help to you. However, it's gotta be a about a hundred calories either way. What do you think?
hmmm... idk.. the cal burn may be VERY simailar. i weigh somewhat close to you, &the extra 4 inches of your height- i think i'll just replace that with me being a teenager! =P anyways, i just want it to be 100 for every 20 minutes... then i'm happy. =)

hmmm... were you sweating like CRAZY &was your face red? &could you hardly move once you were done?.............................. haha
thats how i am when im done. but im outta shape! lol!
I thought the 45 min one would be higher too in calorie burn. That is still great though! I notice that alot of them really wiggle and jump a lot more than I am coordinated to do yet. I have you noticed that? In the 20 min...she tells you you have to really put yourself into it to burn the most calories. I am sure that once I get it down, I can burn more. KWIM? I have to stop to get the moves every so often as I flub up...I try to at least jump rope or so SOMETHING while figuring out what they are doing...
I HAVE noticed that I can wiggle my hips easier now though and that "pump" is getting easier for me to do :-)

I was totally sweating everywhere and my face stayed red for at least 20 mins. after I was done, lol! The turbo section maxed me out for sure. It sounds like we both bring it when we work out!

Wow, I must be more uncoordinated than I thought I was :-) Not for long though.
It just takes repetition. I'm not there yet either, but I'll have in about 4 more workouts, I think.
