if i eat 415 calories per day is that dangerous? would i reach starvation mode eating that much?

415 cals a day is insane. how can u even stand the churning of ur stomach?? that'sway dangerous. you need to eat at least 1200. you're are probably on starvation mode as we speak.
415 calories isn't even half of what you need to keep healthy.  Depending on you weight, height, and sex you should eat anywhere from 1300-2000 calories a day!  and excercise along with it.  If you don't eat your body will shut down and your metablolism will screw up and will take a looong time to get it back to normal speed again.
You should eat MUCH more than that. You are going to damage your entire body and probably kill yourself if you go on like that
Although I advise against this kind of activity, last summer I was committed to eating no more than 1000 calories per day.  I was overweight by 80 pounds or so, thinking that my body would burn it's fat quicker by not eating as much.  Now that I have lost the weight, I find it very hard to eat a normal amount of food again.  I try to eat right around 1600 calories or so a day, but usually go way over that.  I starved my body so long, that now anytime I eat some food, my body just wants more.  It's a very bad cycle to get yourself into, so I would start eating more calories. 
triton, good for you!  You realized that the fast weight loss didn't do anything to help you keep it off.  You are on your way now to being really healthy.

Amount of food has hardly anything to do with the amount of CALORIES in a food.  If you can't eat a whole lot cause you hate being full, eat foods that are denser in calories.  Eat more nuts, try to mix in a protein bar, eat more starchy vegetables.  There are lots of ways to up your calories without upping your total amount of food eaten.  3 or 4 times a day, eat a handful of nuts.  That would probably push you over the 1200 mark easy.

And yes, 800 calories a day is dangerous.  You're slowly harming your body.
It is very dangerous. You have to force yourself to eat at least 1200cal per day. And seek counseling. It's not a good thing to eat so little.

And what do you mean by "i don't feel pain"?

Uhmm...i know that...but i feel guilty when i eat stuff with too much calories...
i will really lost weight eating that much?...now im so depressd...for me the "amount" of food depends of the calories....how i can surmount this horrible panic....
i will start in a few weeks with the gym )im saving for a personal trainer)...

fighting... urge... to repost... aw, f*k it.  HERE.  Your posts are characteristic of someone who has an eating disorder.  You really need to talk to a counselor if you can't get over your fear of calories.  No personal trainer worth the name is going to permit you to exercise AT ALL on what you're eating.  You're setting yourself up for a really screwed up metabolism, osteoporosis, and a host of other physical and psychological problems.  I am NOT making this up, nor am I speaking without a certain amount of personal experience.

here is the rest of a rant I posted before.

Sometimes you DO need to eat, even if you're not hungry, to get your cals up.  Here is what a 100 pound girl needs to run her organs:

"a 5'2" 19 year old female weighing 100 pounds (which is WAY too small anyways but this is the example given)... needs 1,200 calories to just sit around all day and do nothing. This is how it's broken down (scientifically)

-The heart needs 12% of the calories (144 cals)
-The kidney needs 12% of the calories (144 cals)
-The Liver needs 23% of the calories (276 cals)
-The brain needs 23% of the calories (276 cals)
-The skeletal muscle needs 30% of the calories (360 cals)"

If you weigh more than that (or get up and walk around a little, not to mention working out), you MUST eat more than that or your body will start digesting its organs to live.  You will destroy your metabolism (hey, guess what? that will make you FAT eventually, if it doesn't kill you first) and damage your organs.

If you are eating less than 1,200 calories on a regular basis, you need to either start eating more, or talk to your doctor about whether this is healthy for you.  Excessive restriction is very bad for you.  Both hunger and LACK OF HUNGER can be psychological.  I can tell you from personal experience that there were times I felt physically ill as I approached 1,000 calories, that I was NOT hungry and did NOT want to go over that amount.  But you need to, to be healthy.  And guess what? I'm losing as much fat eating well over that amount as I was eating under it.  I'm just not ALSO losing muscle tissue and organ tissue (hey, your brain is an organ)

Plume...I dont feel unconfortable or pain in my stomach...like that one when u r hungry or when u dont eat...
i really was eating cuz i had to eat...i dont feel desire...i also eat very little meat...im not vegan...cuz i dont really restrict meat...but i eat just vegan food almost all days...and also i eat more fish than meat...so my diet is vegies and fruits...mostly...for example...one normal day
breakfast : watermelon and mango (like a half cup of each one)
lunch: spinach (a cup) and soy sausage or a salad with tuna (lettuce, tomato, cucumber and tuna)
dinner: pinneaple (like a cup)
obviusly i dont eat always the same...but thats a good example
i just reject foods with a high amount of calories......i feel sooo bad an d guilty...

You truly need to talk to a professional. This is absolutely not healthy. Fruits are healthy, but you need more than that and you need more of it. Saroful is right. You need a minimum amount of calories just to keep your body working. Alive! You'll end up in a hospital, unless it's too late and you're dead already.
I am not surprised you don't feel hungry anymore. I have experienced that if I wait too long to eat after I start getting hungry.  I have no medical degree and the mechanisms by which the body responds to starvation are not an area I am trained to understand. But it is not because you don't feel hinger that it is ok!

Really, you worry me. Pleease do something. Talk to doctors

I am also woried about you. I am not judging you, however You need to change the way you think about calories. They are not all bad. If you could just add some lean protien like chicken breast or protien shakes 2 or three times a day it would help so much.  eat 6 small meals so you dont feel so full at each meal.  I agree you need some professional help.  I often talk to my pastor when I have feelings like this.  He may not know anything about nutrition but I am sure food is not the only thing that  is causing you such pain.  there is somthing deeper and you should get it taken care of.
you might not gain weight if you eat enough and do not overeat. If you eat about 1400cal and exercize you might even lose weight and you will live! What's the point of eating so little if it means it might kill yourself?

Did you try the daily allowance page on CC to see how many cal you should eat depending on your goal weight? Try it. You'll see.It's more than what you eat right now.

i tried the daily allowance tool...and if i want to lose 4kg in one month look Im 58 now....in want to be 54 for my birthday...its about 1kg less per week...but i dont know why it says 610!....look...i did copy and paste...

You should consume about 610 calories a day to reach your goal weight of 54 kgs by July 01, 2006.

losing 4kg (~9lbs) in a month is too much too fast, hon.
It's not healthy. I'm surprised you did not see a warning on the CC page when you tried that. Don't do this to yourself. You need a more realistic goal.
