I have eaten today as much as I normally eat but I have been starving ALL day. What gives. I have not been more active than usual. My breakfast was raisin bran with milk and a tangerine, trail mix for snack, and one of those lean cuisine's for lunch (fish, rice, broccoli, and apple dessert). Anyone else with this problem?

I have hungry days every once in a while, too.  I usually just up my calories a little for the day.  It also usually helps me to eat something with a good amount of protein to feel more full.  I usually eat a few hard boiled eggs or some cottage cheese to make my stomach stop grumbling.  I eat throughout the day, every day, so I don't usually ever feel really hungry.  On those days when I do, I figure that my body is asking for more food for a reason.

A couple days before aunt flo visits?

actually, I am right in the middle of my cycle.

I occasionally also have a day like you described, wanabslim and I like medveditsa's advice - up the calories with something high in protein and/or fiber so that it fills the tum, drink extra water and move on.  I've never understood those days either - everything is the same except I can't get sated!

I've found that if I just keep eating healthy foods until I finally get full, then I can go a lot of hours, but if I try to limit it and tell myself "You shouldn't be hungry" then I will just continue to be unsatisfied.

My food plan does not include starvation.  I eat every 2-4 hours max.  Hungry is okay and I like learning to tolerate it.  Distracted by a growling stomach is not - it's a set up for either spontaneous binging or premeditated overeating promoted by resentment.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely try what you all suggested!
