SO today I went out to Costa Vida and got a sweet pork salad at around five!! Ate 1/2 of it and stuck it in the fridge!! Than just barely I was starvin so I decided to finish it!! Do any of you have days when you are starving and have no idea why? What helps, should i eat when I feel like I am starving? Any helpful hint/tips/advice would be muc appreciated!!

It's hard to tell without other information about you, but here are a few ideas:

  • you're undereating during the day
  • a salad isn't enough for dinner
  • you're eating a lot of processed food that doesn't fill you up
  • you aren't eating enough fat, protein and/or fibre
  • you're dehydrated and mistaking thirst for hunger

If you're starving, the only sensible thing to do is to eat something. It won't kill you to eat when you're hungry, and you'll avoid over-eating or binging which can happen when you let yourself get too hungry.

The best foods to eat are of course balanced meals (fat, protein, carbohydrate and some fibre from fruit or vegetables) but snacks containing at least two of the above groups are also a good start.
