STARVING yesterday, what's up?
Thursday was my last final of this year, so a few of my friends went out to celebrate. We had sushi and then hit a club, I didn't stay long, and I didn't drink much. The next day I woke up STARVING, I had a larger than usual breakfast and went on with my day. It seemed 20 minutes later I was starving again, so I had a snack. My whole day went like this. If in 20 or 30 minutes I didn't eat something, I would get woozy and feel like I was going to throw up. After the nausea passed, I would get stomach cramps. I decided to stop counting calories and listen to my body. I tried to eat more fruits and veggies than anything else and I drank a ton of water. Still ALL day I had to eat every 20 or 30 minutes. Today I am back to normal. Can anyone tell me what the heck was going on?
How much did you drink? I know you said you didn't drink much, but if you didn't eat a whole lot the day before either....it sounds a lot like a hangover!
Could be a delayed stress thing. I figured out years too late that I convice myself physically that I am hungry due to stress. I had to learn to eat what should be a reasonable portion an then do something else and wait a couple hours before having another small, measured meal. Good if it just happens to you once.
I always eat between 1400 and 1800 calories depending on whether I work out, and how hard I work out. During finals, I work out more, because I don't allow myself to watch TV unless I am on the eliptical or tredmill! That means I work out alot :) Thursday I think I had about 1800 calories. We went out to eat right after finals, and then we went out again for sushi. That along with my usual breakfast and something for a snack in the middle, I think I ate enough. (I like to eat, can you tell? that is why I have to work out so much.) I had a rum and coke at the sushi place, some saki and another rum and coke at the club.. that was a time span of 4 hours. I also had a glass of water.
I agree with skieer66. It could have been your stress catching up with you, so your hormones might have been out of balance.
You must feel relief on doing your last final, Yaye for you!
Take care.
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
