I have a lot of time when I care for children and I just cannot resist the urge to eat something that is not good for my weight loss. How people away from the sweet stuff? I am so desperate and do not know what to do.
Answer
Most people eat in response to external cues. If they see candy, or even see a place that reminds them of candy, they are likely to get the urge to eat. If you must have candy in the house, break the link between seeing and eating by storing your candy out of sight in an opaque container in a hard-to-reach place, or by simply throwing it away. If a "place” cues you to eat, vow to eat only while seated in a designated area, such as at the dining room table. If the children’s parents bring in candy, just ask them to take it back home.
