My actual can also says 150 per 1/4 cup

there are 155 calories in 1/4 cup.  AND that is plenty.  It's very filling!  I eat mine with a couple TBSP of fat-free yogurt, and once in a while I add 2 tsp. organic yogurt-for extra protein.

Dry cereal grains all conform to about the same calories per ounce... about 100.  Applies to pasta, rice, oats (steel-cut or rolled), flour, quinoa, lentils, kidney beans ...  If you invest in a scale rather than rely on cup measurements it can make calorie counting a breeze.
