Stepped on the scale today :( I've put 20lbs back on!
Seriously in one month I've put on over 17lbs. I don't get it. How is it that I worked so so hard to go from 185 to 155 and now I see 177 on the scale.
I'm so mad, depressed and hurt - but what do I do - carry on eating crap and not running on the treadmill. Why can't I wrap my head around the fact I can lose this if I just get back on track?
Seriously disgusted with myself. :(
i'm really sorry. if this helps at all, i have to say that going from 185 to 155 is a HUGE accomplishment. i know that gaining 20 lbs has affected you a lot, but focus on your winnings, not your losses. you lost more than you gained, so if you put your mind to it once more i'm sure you can get to your goal.
don't be disgusted with yourself. you need to tell yourself, "okay, this was a setback, but i'll see what i can do." and then give yourself a big smile in the mirror :D
being positive always works!
Hi, I'm soo sorry about your gain. If it helps, I'm in the exact same boat - I went from 173 to 150, and since Christmas I'm back up to 167.
Feel free to friend me and I'll happilly support you as much as I can.
I feel your pain.. Last summer all my clothes were comfortable and fit well. I had lost 37 lbs and felt great. I started eating poorly again (had a lot of stress!) and gained back over 20.
Right now I'm concentrating on eating healthy again and have lost a few.
I also forced myself to wear my clothes from last year, it reminds me to walk tall and suck in my gut.
Thanks guys.
I think seeing that number really hit home. I'm back on track today (taking it one day at a time).
You did it once, you can do it again. Just remember that this is a lifestyle change. Commit to it. You will never be able to eat like you once did unless you decide that you are satisfied with being that weight.
I've been at this for a year now and have lost 15 pounds. It was a very slow process for me. I never let myself slip for more than a week or two. When those slips happened, I worked extra hard the next two weeks to make up for it. It's very hard work, but if you loose slow and steady, it will stay off for good. You've done it once, you can do it again...and even better this time. Best of luck to you.
