Sounds like a compliment to me.  Every state should be so lucky.  Smile

Obviously,  he hasn't been here....got to be the fattest place on Earth.

I was there last December. Nice city but couldn't tell if y'all were fat or not. Everyone was bundled up. Awesome cheeses though.

Um...if you don't think Wisconsin is fat relative to various other parts of the country, you haven't been out much.  Lived in Wisconsin for a couple years myself.  The only fatter place I can think of that I've been in Appalachian Kentucky.

 Astrology on Yahoo!? :D

Note that Men's Fitness only ranked the top 50 largest cities in the US.  Some smaller cities might actually be worse off, and I wonder how many Appalachian or Southern "cities" (e.g. Charleston and Huntington, WV) don't make the cut.

I'm kinda surprised about Yakima, Washington, although I'll admit it's the kind of place that you feel like sh** just being there.

Hmmm, three different cities in NC on both lists!  Also seems like CA has pretty good representation.  I'm surprised Alaska doesn't have a "city" on there: it's a long, coooold winter up there witn not much to do besides eat or drink!

I wonder about the sampling in the CDC report, despite the larger number of "cities" used.  A disproportionate number of them appear to be from Hawaii (Honolulu, Kahului, Hilo...)...hm...where would I like to conduct surveys if I was a researcher?

25 healthiest MMSAs per the same report I cited earlier:

Burlington, VT

Sioux Falls, SD

Minneapolis, MN

Barre, VT

Lincoln, NE

VA Beach, VA

Colorado Springs, CO

Akron, OH

Austin, TX

Bethesda, MD

Cambridge, MA

Hartford, CT

Des Moines, IA

Manchester, NH

Denver, CO

Concord, NH

Lebanon, NH

Rockingham County, NH

Bridgeport, CT (um...what?)

Kalispell, MT

Cheyenne, WY

Missoula, MT

Olympia, WA

Bismarck, ND

Rapid City, SD

That is because there are no cities in Alaska, just camps.
