Anyone trying to Lose 15-20 pounds by Halloween?
I have been messing around with this last leg of my weight loss journey for far too long. I'm really going to get serious about this last push and wondered if anyone else is in a similar situation and would like to help motivate each other?
Here are my stats, too:
5'6" female
157
28.9% BF (would like to be 25%)
Goal is 140
Moderate Activity Daily (I'm a SAHM with 3 little ones who keep me hopping!)
40 min. cardio 3-4 times a week, 90 min cycling once a week, 30 min. strength 3-4 times a week

Sorry I haven't been participating a lot this week. Not a good start I know. I've been doing welll on the challenge though.
I got 7minutes so far, did a five minute running up and down the stairs with the kids on wednesday and then I added in some races in teh pool, where I gave everything.
My weigh- in wasn't so good though :s I gained a pound which puts me on 149 for now. I think it's water and salt thoug, I've had a lot of salt this week so I'm sure I'll be down again next week!
I'll catch up on the post later tonight or tomorrow, got to run again!

On the spreadsheet for "goal weight" do you want our long term goal or our Halloween goal? I entered Halloween goal the first time, and long term the 2nd time (wasn't thinking).

This is my biggest loss since starting CC in July, I'm not sure why. It must be the motivating posts
. I think I'll pick up the hole punch and start to do some bicep curls while I check my emails at work; I love this challenge idea.
So this friday's weigh in is my starting point for our halloween goal. Current weight is up 2lb from last thurs, but considering I thought I gained 6lb...I'll take the two!!! I've been excited and motivated and made it to the gym 4x already this week! Going hiking tomorrow which'll be great too :) There WILL be a loss next week! lol...congratulations to everyone who's had a loss!

Ugh! I'm up 1lb. This week has been really hard for me. A lot of social events mainly centered around eating. Ha! I guess it could be worse.

Ack! So, today my boyfriend (a chef) gifted me with an invite to go to a new restaurant in town and eat for free to help them all with training! Plus, I'm an American expat, living in Belfast, and it was a Chili's (sometimes I miss American stuff)! So I researched it all ahead of time, what I could eat while still staying within my calorie limits, finally get there, and....two strawberry margaritas and a bacon cheeseburger!! Haha, oh yeah and we split a cheesecake for dessert. Fantastic. It was totally worth it; it tasted FANTASTIC and plus, it reminded me why I like to eat healthy. I've been exhausted since I ate (6 hours ago!), I feel bloated and I'm really thirsty! Lesson learned? Probably not.
On the other hand, for the past two months, I've eaten 1500-1600 every Monday thru Thursday, then I usually eat between 2000-3000 calories Friday to Sunday, and I've averaged a pound loss every week. Is that weird? Maybe I eat too little during the week, so the weekend evens me out? I play volleyball for a university three times a week, plus yoga twice a week, I ride my bike everywhere and walk (European city, easy to do). Plus I like to run and work out on off days....dunno.
Just ranting. Happy first week of the challenge, everyone!

Ok so I am maintaining for the most part -- I had dropped to 144 on Tuesday and am still stuck here so maybe I'll check my weight on tuesday and hope it goes down to 2 pounds...
I need to lay off the wine! I drank nearly a bottle last night! uh!!! and tonight I've got a date w/my sister and her co-workers at a restaurant / cocktail lounge... I will be good I have to be
I slept better last night ... momof2 yes I've been getting them since I was a kid it's a long story... but I lived in 2 wars before I came here and at night would be when raids would happen so I tend to tense up at night* :( working through it, managing well so thank you and yes please check into accupuncture it really works it hasn't been around for 1000's of years for nothing! stewmama - I didn't eat anything sugary, had a salad for dinner a glass of wine, 1 which is amazing for me and tried to sleep no candy i think I had some cashews unsalted but only a fist full so it prob. not food....
Ok so I hope to have a healthy weekend everybody have a healthy strong weekend... I'm contemplating working out right now ... I've worked out everyday this week... maybe a rest day would help my muscles feel sore after working out they don't feel sore anymore on the biggest loser challenge dvd???

Only a 1lb loss on this challenge but a 3.2lb loss for the week.
tink8- oh yeah, bacon cheese burgers are my achilles heel. sooo good. but i know what you mean about eating bad and then remembering why you eat healthy. that has happened everytime i eat bad since i started my healthy way of life. I like it, it keeps me on track!!

I think the everybody has been putting the Halloween goal, should I make another question for long term goals?

I biked and walked 1/2 hr each tonight and did a little weights at home this morning. So I'm happy. I'm going for a bike ride in the morning, so I'll get in 4 days of cardio this week even though I didn't think of that goal 'til yesterday. Next week will be the challenge.
I think I'm at about 1300 net calories today, which is better than usual for me.
I don't remember my starting weight on cc last year but it was around 125-135. I was down to 119 last February and now am up to 129-131 again:( My goal is 125 by Halloween. At the moment the scale says 129.8

I started out today really good with my eating. Then I picked up my daughter from school and she wanted McDonald's! So I figured I only had 500 cals before leaving home, so I could eat McD's. I got a 10 piece Nugget meal. It was 800 cals!!! I ended up with 1350 cals. So for dinner I ate a salad and ended the day at 1500 cals. Not too bad! :) I know the sodium is going to kill me, so I'm drinking so much water I'm running to the bathroom every 1/2 hour! lol
Scared to get on the scale in the morning! Tomorrow is my weigh in too! Oh well, I'll survive! The McD's was good though. Been a long time since I had any!
My back and leg is really feeling ok. May take a walk tomorrow for the 1st time in over a week. Gotta get back into things again.

Hey guys! I'm so sorry about my late post! Our Internet finally took a nose dive yesterday after all the rain. BUT, I did weigh myself for our start weight. I'm down 2.2 pounds from my last Tuesday's WI, which would be almost a week and a half, so that's good for me! (Especially as I am PMSing and usually gain weight this week!). So here it is:
SW: 155.4
GW: 140
Thanks again for the spreadsheet and thanks also for the rundown on our losing. Everyone is doing great, and for those who didn't do as well as had hoped, here's your chance this week to really start working towards that finish line! Remember little changes can lead to big changes on the scale sometimes -- so ditch that evening snack, step away from the vino (that's my problem!), and park at the back of the parking lot at the grocery store this week. We can do it!
After getting everyone breakfast and settled into their day, I took time to actually sit and read through ALL of the posts that I had missed, so I just realized that I entered yesterday's WI as week 1 starting since it was the first WI. Oops! Can I change it to Week 2 somehow, Slaffer? Otherwise, I'll just be sure to make it Week 3 for next time, does that sound right?
np, changed it, is there an admin of this group that should be added to make changes as well?
Have also added the "gadget" tab on the bottom to sort and filter.
It's sunny and hot out, so may not be sitting here much this weekend.

My weight was up this am a pound but I know it's bcuz last night's drinking I had two bloody mary's and not even sure how many glasses of wine, i danced till late into the night to prince songs and was working up a sweat but I don't think it should count in any way... I'm going to 'step away from the vino' for as long as I can hold out... I know it's the core reason why my weight won't budge... I do gotta say that I am toning in my arms and back and they are getting tighter so I know I am gaining some muscle mass right now from the Power Sculpt Biggest Loser DVD ... I'm telling you guys that Bob kicks your ass! I can sometimes barely breathe when I work out to him! anyway I think I'm going to stay away from the social gatherings for a bit until I get my weight back on track... like stewmamma' I'm stepping aaway from the vino' atleast until I see some sort of movement out of my weight..
I think I'm going to take a chill from working out today... tomorrow will be 6 days of working out and that's good enough for me... have a healthy day ya'll ... xo.. Soraya
