Stew's Crew St. Patty's Day Challenge CLOSED TO NEW MEMBERS

Hi, there!  For all returning Stew's Crew members and new members looking for a support group in your weight loss goals, we'll be running our St. Patty's Day Challenge starting Friday, Jan. 9.  I'll be adding a spreadsheet for those of you interested in tracking your progress. 

Official first weigh-in is Friday, Jan. 9.  If interested, introduce yourself and your weight loss goal (about 10-15 pounds would be a safe goal) and I will add your name to the spreadsheet.  Be sure to check back every Friday at minimum for your weight tracking and to find out your weekly exercise or nutrition challenge.

sure why not, count me in as im aiming to loose 5/6 kg ( 11/13 lbs)

im currently 62.8kg (138 lbs)

and i want to be more like 57 kg (125 lbs) imm about 5'3 and small build with a little more junk to my ass and stomach than id like :) so yep count me in. ill do a proper weigh in on friday haha thats my birthday too i like to think thats a good sign.

Yay! Stew's crew part III!

A lil about me:
I'm 25, 5'7", medium build.
My heaviest ever was 227lb. I lost some, gained some...basically yoyoing.
September of 2007 I started out at 207lb, joined CC in Feb 2008 when I was 195lb.
At the end of the last challenge, my weight was 170lb (not on my usual scale, and this one seems about 3lb nicer than my normal scale).
Will do my first weigh in on Friday, but my goal for this challenge is to get to 160lb...which is pretty much my final goal!

Hi johgar, glad you had a good vacation and didn't do too much holiday damage!

I am 39, 5'3.5.  I have yoyo'd constantly  and joined CC last Jan.  My highest was 190 in Aug.  The end of the New Years challenge was 173.5.  This challenge I am going for 5lbs instead of 10 cuz I really want to be able to meet the goal and not beat myself up!  My ultimate goal is 140.  See you all Fri!!

Hey Stewmama!  I'm back from our Thanksgiving challenge.  I should have stayed on for December's because I gained about 7 pounds back over Christmas break!  Hopefully a couple will be water weight, but either way I'm ready to get back on the wagon.  No big holidays coming up, no excuses to eat!  Good stuff!  I'll be back to weigh in on Friday, hi again everybody!

Hi all!  I would love to join this challenge!

I'm 5'6" and approx 225 (but I'll do the official weigh in on Friday).

Looking to lose 15 lbs by St. Patty's Day.  I just started the Couch to 5K challenge and am working on getting my eating right.  I started CC last year and tried to lose a bunch of weight for my wedding last july.  I lost about 20 pounds and then found 25 pounds again, so I am working to get this current weight gain spree (25lbs in 6 months!) under control!

I'm 5'2" and over 130 lbs.  Not sure how much over because I've sworn off the scale except for Fridays and Mondays.  In 2007 I lost about 25 lbs, but over 2008 I gained practically every lb. back.  So I really need to stay focussed in 2009 and be involved in challenges. Turned 53 the end of 2008.

My weight loss goal is 12 lbs. by St. Paddy's Day!  Thanks stewmama.

Hi!  I'm in! 

I'm 5'6", 172 lbs.  I've lost 70 lbs since Oct '07 and need to lost around another 15 lbs and then decide if I want to continue.

My goal for this challenge is the 15 lbs I need to get rid of.  That's pushing it!

I'm 5'4", 170lbs. (was 168 before Xmas and New Years!) and looking to pick up the pace in 2009! I will return tomorrow for the weigh-in, going to do some major walking tonight in preparation  :)

My goal for this challenge is 15 pounds - it would put me a lot closer to my overall goal of 140, i'm psyched!

Hi Alicia!  Our stats/goals are very similar.  I am 5'3.5" and am currently about 173 (we'll see tomorrow) My overall goal is 140 also!

I have been losing my recent weight (10 pounds) by calorie counting, but I'm going to try to exercise more.. mostly by getting off the subway 5 stops early and walking briskly home (Brooklyn)...

Hi All - Count me in!

I'm new to the Stew Crew thing - but I love Stew and I love St. Patty's Day LOL!

Some info about me:

24 Years Old - 5'7" - Large Build
I used to weight almost 300lbs (278lbs was my heaviest) this was back in 2006.  I joined CC around August of 2006 and managed to get down to 180lbs.
Since then, I have been off and on - usual story I guess - but long story short I am back up to 212lbs. and decided to start back up to get myself in control before my weight gets out of control.

Current Weight:  212lbs.
Goal Weight:       190lbs (by St. Patty's Day)

Hopefully I'll be welcome in the group!  Good luck all!

completed day two of the couch to 5K (still on the first week) and the second time around felt easier than the first, so hopefully that trend will continue!

The weekend is coming up, which is my worst time (thank the lordie for friday weighins!).  Hopeing to come up with a meal plan now so I can be prepared.

I haven't lost an ounce over the past 5 days after logging, exercising, eh!  So my starting weight may be a bit overstated.  I think I can get down to 120 by the deadline.  Good luck to all :)

Disclaimer: I think my scale is tripping out, because the first two weights this morning were 170.8, then the next 3x (stupid me...had to weigh again, just to check) were 172.2...hmmm. Maybe it was affected by the multiple floodings in my bathroom? Anyways, going with the lower weight :)

Ultimate GW: 155-160...depending on how I feel :)

I am shooting low for this challenge because I don't want to be disappointed at not meeting my goal.  I figure I can definately do 5 and then add more if time allows!

Bad news, I don't quite fit into my sexy lil holiday dress for my party :(      I probably could if I got some super sucker control under garment but I really don't want to be uncomfortable like that!  I will wear something else and make fitting into the dress a goal in itself!!!

I'm trying harder to balance my diet and stay focused on what I'm doing.  I think 10 pounds is doable for me this time simply bc I'm back to how I was when I first started losing weight.  DETERMINED!!!
