Stomach rash?
Yesterday morning I noticed that I had a red and very itchy rash all over my stomach (I'm 35 weeks 1 day today). It hasn't gone away so I put in a call to my doctor and am waiting to hear back from her. Have any of you ladies who have been pregnant experienced something like this? I haven't done or eaten anything different and boy is this uncomfortable! ![]()
Oh BOY!!!
When I was pregnant for my son the last couple weeks 2-3 (had him at 37wks) I had the WORST rash on my back and arms and I cant remember what it was called but it was something that only pregnant women get the abv. for it was POP. It was gawd awful I wanted to take a cheese grater and use it to scratch....gross I know but I couldnt get relief since there was nothing I could take other than an oatmeal bath...that did nothing for me. It lasted for another 2-3 weeks after I had him.
Good luck!!
Unnecessary post :)

I just looked this up. It's PUPPP. Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy. THAT'S a mouthful! It sounds like this is what you have:
Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP), also known as polymorphic eruption of pregnancy, is the most common rash in pregnant women. It normally occurs in first pregnancies during the third trimester with an average onset of 35 weeks. Thankfully, PUPPP does not usually affect subsequent pregnancies.
So you fit the bill being 35 weeks pregnant with your first child.
When I gave birth to my last just over 6 yrs ago. Had a rash, well what I thought was a rash, when I delivered. Actually found out right after my daughters birth that it was chicken pox. So dont overlook it and have your dr. check it out
