1 stone 10 weeks!

Quote  |  Reply

Hi all, Ive lost a good 22 lbs since joining here, and I thought to try something different, 10 weeks to lose a stone, it's achievable, and I was wondering if anyone fancies joining me, a bit of support and motivation along the way etc,

I was thinkingto start the 15th June, why then you ask? As I get back from my holiday then and it gives people a chance to tag along.

A bit about me, I'm 28 currently weigh 165 lbs and 5'8 tall and live in Manchester UK

I work shifts and I am trying to cycle in to work each day, that's basically 18mile round trip.

I was thinking to note the weight when I start and maybe do a 2 week weigh so you should see a 2.8 - 3lb loss each 2 weeks.

I have a background in personal training and excercise routines etc, I have just let myself go (possibly due to shifts) But thought this could be kind of fun to find someone, or a few people interested in losing the stone, having a friendly chat along the way and maybe getting a little encouragement to do new things.

Anyway have a think and leave a message if you are up for it, in 10 wks we could all be a stone lighter!!! :)

well why not, i want to lose anyway, so why not make it a stone in 10 wks?

We are the same height and almost the same weight! And I live in Sheffield. I'm willing to try with you :)

Ok,

I am back from my holiday,

And in lbs I am 165 as of the 15th June 2009.

So, anyone wanting to join in, the time is now!!!  Laughing

i want to join! i'm 167 right now.

I'm in, too. I'm at 133.5 right now.

Well, I have tasked myself with things, so this week I have tasked myself with starting a new activity, and I am going to start swimming twice a week should be enough!

So, maybe we could try that, a new activity?

I am very determined to do this, and have plenty of goals along the way, like a wedding etc so that should keep me going.

That's a great idea. I'm revising for my PhD viva, so don't have the time to try a new activity, but good luck!

I'm currently at 162 pounds, and going out to a chinese for lunch with work. Argh. I aim to not eat everything on my plate, and do a lot of walking around later on in the day.

My new task was to start running. I am currently doing the Runner's World beginner's run. I run 1 min, walk 2 min for a total of 30 min. It was very hard at first, but now I can go up to 2 min a few times during the 30 min. I am supposed to start Monday at 2 min run, but since I started this program late, I may wait until next Monday, we'll see.
