ahhh. i think ive clicked on everything trying to find where to turn it off, lol.
see the little box that reads "Receive reply notification by email (limit once/visit)."
Don't check it. Also you can change your email addy on file.
When you hit "reply" and type your message, there is a little box above the "post reply" button that says "receive reply notification by e-mail". Just click on it to un-check the box and you will not receive an e-mail.
Just on a note: You do have to un-click the box every time you post. but after you do it for a while it just becomes second nature.
ooohhh. i thought there was something in my account i had to change. some sort of email setting. i never even noticed that little box before!
im so blind lol.

Whaaa? That box is never checked for me. Weird.
yeah me either
me either.
also, that doesn't solve the problem because I can't control the messages that I get in my inbox when other people reply. my email account is almost full because I receive a notification by email every time there is a reply.
Each time you get one of those emails, you'll have to go back to each of your posts and click on edit. Then go down to the little box and click to remove the checkmark. Eventually you'll get them all.
You should also be able to change your default preference in your settings. Go to My Account, click the Edit settings link, click Notification Options, and there are a number of different settings that you can click on or off, including replies for forum posts.
But, for any posts you've already made, you'll have to follow clairelaine's suggestion and edit the post or post to the thread again and uncheck the box.
On the go andin the know.
