How to stop counting calories!!?? HELP!
I've been stuggeling a bit lately with overcomeing anorexia, I just can't seem to stop counting and stressing about calories! Even if I I don't count right away, within an hour my mind just naturally does it, I just can't seem to stop, and it's driving me crazy, i just don't weant to care anymore!
It's been hard for me to know how to get enough calories without getting to much.. (when I go over I freak out and workout like crazy or dont eat much the next day)
Does anybody have any advice on how to quite counting every calorie I consume, while still getting enough? And how to get the good nutrition I need?
~Thanks! :-]

Reason: Moved from Weight Gain to Health & Support forum
I have recently discovered intuitive eating and am a huge fan of a book by the same name - Intuitive Eating. It's a great alternative for counting calories for weight maintainers and people out to lose weight. For people looking to gain, hunger signals can sometimes be so out of whack that I am not sure it would be appropriate - certainly not until you were reasonably close to your goal and strong in your recovery.
The philosophy behind intuitive eating is learning to respect your body's signals of hunger, fullness and cravings. By eating what you truly want to eat you will feel satisfied and eliminate feelings of deprivation. Because you don't feel deprived, you won't binge or overeat either. Part of intuitive eating is also learning about emotional eating and other ways to deal with emotions instead of binging or restricting. Another part is learning how to give up restriction, dieting, forbidding yourself from eating certain foods - and how to fight the "food police" and respect your body's natural size. And I'm not talking about "oh, if you do this you have to accept being overweight" ... that won't happen. It's just about accepting that we are not all meant to be a size 2!
Using the intuitive eating philosophy - and with a lot of help from the book I mentioned, I've actually succeeded in not counting calories for the first time in a long time.
There is also a website - http://www.intuitiveeating.com/ and I'm sure plenty of other resources on the net if you are looking.
