should i stop losing weight or no?
Now that i'm within a couple pounds of my goal weight, I'm confused as to whether I should stop or not! I know I look pretty good right now. I think I'm just afraid of maintenance to be honest because the numbers are more likely to go up than if I were trying to lose! But anyway it's hard for me to see the weight I've lost because I look at myself everyday. I don't feel that much smaller than I did a few months ago. I'm wearing around a size six right now. If I were to try to lose more weight, I'd be way below what my original goal was. Is this ok?

Can you tell us what your height and current goal weight is?
If you are currently happy with the way you feel and look right now, then I would say to go with your instinct and begin transitioning into maintenance.
Have you tried looking at before and after pictures to better assess the weight you have lost so far?
i'm 5'9", currently weigh 149, and my goal is 145. i know girls my height in the 130's though. i know i shouldn't compare myself with them since i have some muscle however!
You're doing great and if you are happy with your size then by all means step into maintaining. all it takes is upping your calories 100 per week, and watching the scale to make sure it doesn't increase or continue to drop. it's not like you have to go eat a double cheeseburger and some fries right now. :) however... ;) that sounds good.
I agree. Trust your instincts if you feel good right now that there isn't any reason you shouldn't switch over into maintaining. Some people end up having an ' issue ' with food or their body. Having a bad relationship with one or the other. Because they just don't know when it's time to stop counting and losing. Trust your instincts. Congrats. You look great. I wish I had your height.
Congratulations! If i were u i will have to maintain my weight right now....because it takes a lot of self-discipline and self-control in achieving our desired weight...Just enjoy what u have now and never ever abuse yourself in overeating or feeding your stomach with unhealthy foods...
I agree, if you are happy with how you look, then step into the maintenance. However, you have come a long way. So treat yourself every now and then. That's what life is all about, some simple pleasures and rewards for a job well done.

thanks everyone! this is really encouraging. i'm going to trust my instincts (even though i'm scared to :) because I know I look good and don't need to lose more. congrats to all of you too on your weight loss and thanks !!
