Stopped losing...(HELP)
I have been on this site for a few weeks now and I was bragging at the weight I had lost. But now I have hit a slump and not losing any lbs at all for several days. Is that normal to lose real fast at first and then very hard to lose even though you stay with in the required calories and activity? I look forward to hearing from anyone about this. Thanks
I hit a plateau, but I don't exactly follow what I should, I could do better.
My mom use to do weight watchers and you will have a slow period and maybe not lose, but if you are not gaining I wouldn't be too concerned at this point. Just stick with it. Usually after a week or two of plateauing you drop a significant amount.
Good Luck in your journey
Hi Married Guy,
Congratulations on your weight loss! I'm 51 yr old female, the hormones are different but here's a few things to look at....
First, are you eating enough? Recalculate your BMR with your new weight.
Do you eat the same amount of calories everyday? If so try zigzagging your calories. If you average 1800 per day try one day 1500, next day 2200, then 1800. Just let it average out at the end of the week. Sometimes you have to keep your body guessing at what's coming next.
Do you exercise? Is is always the same? Try changing your routine to increase cardio or strength training.
Those are the 3 things I do when I hit a plateau. But the last thing and it's the hardest to do, just wait it out. If you're doing everything right the weight will come off. Just hang in there.
I hope this helps you.
