strange "maneuver"
OK, so little Julia is now a whopping 13 weeks old (and just too cute) and since thursday she's been doing this weird move......she'll be sitting in her bouncie seat; bring her knees and hips into a curl to her chest; then lift her head up almost to her knees (an ab curl expert in the making I guess)- but then she'll shoot her legs out and scream! I think it might be gas? she didn't poop for a few days, then today I got a big gift this morning (isn't it a relief when they go? LOL) After a few minutes of this, she'll beam at me. If I help her literally sit up like a game; she won't kick her legs out and scream.
She's been eating fine; although once a voracious 6.5 oz every three hours has turned to 4oz every 4 hours the past few days. This was the first week I was back at work; so I was thinking maybe this was a schedule change reaction or something.
so my question is; what is this manuever- Gas? or "Mommy I want to sit up"?
Appreciate your help.
I called the doc about the poop but didn't ask about the curling up; which of course I'm going to call about tomorrow.
Maybe she is trying to sit up, or maybe it is gas :) Sorry, I am of no help!
Isn't it funny how once you become a mom you get excited about poop?!
never in my life have i been so fascinated, concerned and overjoyed about POOP!!!! LOL
i love this mamma thing
Ella has done that to coax a toot or poop out since the day she was born. It's too funny. She doesn't always scream though. Does she get stiff at all after she does it? Does she stretch out? That sounds like a gas move.
Awww, a poopy move! Ethan would just stop whatever he was doing, and tense everything, then release with a little umpf sound. Now he kinda smiles and his face gets red when he's pooping.
The "baby crunches", as I call them, can help get gas out. As well as "the baby leg press" I would lightly press ethan's legs into his chest while I was playing with him and I woud be rewarded with gas!
