Strattera And Upset Stomache

Quote  |  Reply

Ok, so today was literally my first time trying my new Rx for ADHD and I was given Strattera. I had a big, healthy breakfast of oatmeal and strawberries/blueberries like I always do. I waited about an hour after breakfast to take my medications (30mg Celexa and 40mg Strattera). Within an hour my stomache felt pretty badly and I ended up vomiting up most of my breakfast. After throwing up I felt perfectly fine.

I know when I took adderall I'd have an upset stomache on occasion, particularly early on.

I'd like to think it was just a coincidence, but I NEVER throw up, even when I have the flu.

Will my body get used to it after a while, or is it going to keep rejecting it? I worry because I can't keep throwing up like this and am not sure if I threw up my Celexa too (probably). Considering the short time in my system, should I retake my celexa? Or just skip it for a day and be angry/irritable/depressed?

Edit: on a less serious and more humorus note, does anybody know a good way to get oatmeal out of their nose? Some is sort of stuck up there and I can't get it out. It burns! D:

I take straterra and It happend to me when I took it for the first time. I got a hot flash and I felt like I was going to vomit. It also happend this week when I didnt eat before I took it. It got better for me so hopefully it does for you as well!

Ok, thank you very much for the feedback! I know everybody's body reacts differently to medicines, and I'm glad to hear that it got better for you because that gives me hope that it'll improve for me too!
