Stretchmarks/Tanning
When it comes to stretchmarks is tanning (in the sun) detrimental because it would dry out the skin, or helpful in making their appearance dull?
My stretch marks don't tan and become more contrasted against my normal skin.
oh ya? that is definately not what i was hoping to hear, but the truth is useful thank you :D
my marks do tan and apper less noticible in the sun. i also think they are fading :)
Lucky duck! Mind you, I guess I should mention that the ones on my knees have faded.. but the ones on my BUTT! WAH! (Yeah, I tan my butt.
)
i guess i should just give it a try and see how it goes... mind you there will be much cocoabutter lotion used both before and after.
My stretch marks all down my inner thighs become less noticable when I tan. However, I started to shy away from tanning because it's really REALLY bad for you. I've been using Jergens Natural Glow lotion for about a month and have been really happy with my skin color.
If you can find a tone that suits your natural skin tone, maybe consider tan-in-a-can? It's better fo your skin, and maybe would help hide the marks better.
Caveat: I can't attest to the success rate, because I am always too busy out of the shower to remember to apply it :P

I think my stretchmarks (which are a plenty after twins) tend to get more noticeable with a suntan, but look better with a tan in a bottle.
Tanning has reduced the appearance of both my stretchmarks and cellulite. I tan no more than 2 times per week.
Yep, I do the same.. mix 2 days of tanning ( SPF protected of course) and then apply self tanning lotion.
Tanning helped my Stretch marks and cellulite tremendously!.. i guess it depended on your under lying skin tone as to weather it will tan the marks or bring them out???..not sure ![]()
