i want to say i'm getting closer to my goal weight, but i'm not actually sure that's very true anymore...

i'm 17, 5'3, and currently, 117 pounds. i exercise 3-4 times a week, sometimes more. i have a goal of 105 pounds.

i had a nutritionist at my highest weight (150), and as i gradually stopped checking in with her, i gradually began to start restricting.

through that, i got to my lowest weight (as you can imagine), which was 111 pounds. i began to up my calories again and gained weight. i became 120 pounds.

i spur of the moment decided many months later i wanted to visit my nutritionist again. she told me to eat 1300 calories if i wanted to "lose a few pounds", which i had been doing diligently for months prior. i still eat the same amount today.

i looked back on the date of my nutritionist appointment.
it was on may 8th.
today is june 25th.
i have lost 3 pounds.

i find it a little strange that in the span of time i have only lost 3 pounds.

i am not sure if i should be eating more, or doing something different.

i'm just looking for a response.

You're already at a healthy weight for your height. When you're at a healthy weight, your body is going to resist losing pounds more than it would when you were overweight.

Is there a specific reason you've chosen 105 as your goal? That seems awfully low. You're already at a healthy weight, and you should instead just concentrate on healthy eating and staying active, and not worry about the scale. Both 120 and 117 are slender, healthy weights for your height.

Sounds about right to me. The less weight you actually need to lose, the slower your weight loss will be.

Your body is probably telling you that it is fine where it is and that you don't need to lose any more weight.

Just wanted to add, a weight of 105 pounds at 5'3 would put you in the underweight catogory. Only slightly, but still underweight.

 If you notice in your post you only saw your nutritionist when you needed to lose weight-which is fine, but....  When you began to lose weight you 'stopped checking in with her' and 'gradually began to start restricting' your calories-your words not mine.

Then you got to your lowest weight.  What happens after you restrict your calories?  Your body goes into starvation mode and begins to feed of of muscle, organs, etc, rather than actual fat.

 Then you state you 'began to up your calories(probably because you were starving) again and gained weight'.  What did you do?  Decided you needed to see your nutritionist again.

Now you are disappointed that you have only lost 3 pounds in @ 6 weeks. 

A nutritionist is someone that you see that will assist you with outlining a lifestyle change in your eating habits.  Someone to guide you in properly fueling your body so that is able to run like a well oiled machine.  Not someone you run to every time your caloric restriction diet is failing and you need a quick fix.

Why do you feel as if you cannot follow the guidelines and plan your nutritionist has set up for you?  Do you not trust his/her advice?  I am curious as to why you are seeking guidance in any form or fashion and not being consistent with the information professionals have given you.

For adults, maybe, but I'm pretty sure not for teens.  According  to this website, she can weigh between 97-142 lbs. and still be a healthy weight.  Naiteru, your BMI is 20.7 (47th percentile), by the way, which is healthy. :)
