of FAT that is !!!!! Cool

I've gained the notorious Freshmen 15 and now im working out with a personal trainer.

She has told me before we started that we were going to focus on fat burning exercises, other than just lifting weights like I used to do - along with cardio.

I have only worked out  with her once so far && this is what we did:

  • Instead of dealing with heavier weights (10 kgs, like i used to), she made me use really light ones (less than 5 kgs, i think) but more reps than 10-12. Like..... 15-20.
  • After finishing 2 exercises, she made me run 300 meters on the treadmill immediately. I was running 11 kph (i think it was kilometers), which is like... almost 7 mph. I was really running lol!! But it lasted like... 3 mins.

This was one set.

After I finished running, she gave me 2 mins rest and then made me do 2 other exercises, then running again.

We did a total of 5 sets of these.

Was the purpose of this keeping my heart rate up??

My ultimate question is...

Do you think this is better for losing weight than just simply lifting REAL weights and cardio??

I mean, i understand that right now, my goal is to burn the FAT, not BUILD MUSCLE. But I don't want to lose too much of my muscles and look thinner but flabbier....

HELPPPPPP!!

Yes, keep going up on the weight until you find that your last 1 or 2 reps are a struggle.

Until my last 1 or 2 reps of 12 reps total are a struggle??

The last 1-2 of however many reps you are aiming for.
