You definately need to have some strength upper and lower body. A big part of it is just knowing how to control your body too. The way you need to position yourself in order to support all your weight and such.
I'm not sure how they do it but I sure like to watch. ;D
jesus christ...
I know on a local moms site a bunch of them get together and are learning to use a "stripper pole" to lose weight and feel sexy for their significant others, which Carmen Electra has videos out about the same type of workouts.

I just got the first Carmen Electra video... it's actually pretty cool!! She's really good at explaining it and going through the moves... I didn't feel lost at all like I do with most new workout videos. Also... the routine turns out pretty cool once you put it all together with the music and everything!! You don't even feel like you're working out!! And she's very personable... like you're just having fun with a friend!! I haven't tried any of the others yet... but so far I like hers... just did it for the first time today.
I already know how to be sexy its the pole that I think is hella cool..you know people put down strippers but they have mad skills...lol...
gmule i like watchin too;)lol lol ..im bad

Id really get into it if I had the courage or guts, but I dont have the body either, the stripper pole to do it, nor the upper body strength! haha :)

I pole dance for fun and fitness and have a pole in my house. For me it is the most fun way to get a work out. It builds strength all over your body. Arms, legs, abs...you need it all depending on what pose you are trying to do. It's like doing yoga only with a pole...haha! I would recomdend it to anyone :)!
I really want to learn how to pole dance... to show my boyfriend i CAN act romantic since im quite boyish in the way i act.
I also have just lost 10lbs and really want something to help with toning and a pole in my house would be unlikkely to happen but would be SO COOL! lol
