my struggle. please help!
hello. I am 15 years old, weigh about 105 pounds, and am 5'6". Am I at a healthy weight?
I feel as if I need to gain weight. Whenever I do try, it all goes to my stomach and gets bloated and I get really self-conscious about it. AHHH! This is so frustrating. Do you have any tips as to how I can get over this?
How many calories should I be eating daily.
Here is what I ate today:
Breakfast : yogurt (I have no idea how much) with blueberries and granola
Lunch: tortilla (100 cal), with hummus (3 tbsp. 75cal), lettuce, carrots, cucumber, mushrooms ..... plus a slice of apple bread
Snack: s'mores luna bar
dinner: cheese tortellini (2 small bowls) with marinara sauce. and a side salad of lettuce, mushrooms, cucumbers, carrots, and a touch of dressing (newman's light honey mustard)
snack: 80 cal Fiber One yogurt

Youre definately not at a healthy weight, at all so i suggest you pack in those calories more than what youve been getting. 2500 calories at least sedentary, and dont do any strenuous exercises. You are only 15, so we hope youll just fill out more since you have lots of time to grow but really, you need to be eating alot more.
Try trail mix, nuts are so good with a little chocolate bits put in... really healthy and high calorie, they will not make you look bloated since they are very dense.

Hello, just posting to say I have the EXACT same stats as you. Well, a few weeks ago I did. I'm 15, 5'6", and was 105. Now I'm 108 and I already feel a lot better. I know what you mean about the stomach thing, but actually if you're consistantly eating 2600+ calories a day it will all even out. I still have a flat tummy. Good lucky to you =)

I just ate a whole bunch of almonds :) Hopefully I will gain some weight without bloating.... the whole reason I got to this low of a weight was because I was so self-conscious about a little bit of tummy fat showing through a tshirt. I guess I have to get over that? haha.
