So I went down from 160 to 131 (thought it was the perfect weight). Now Im aiming for 125(ideal weight) but it seems like im stuck !!
I've been 131 for the past month!!
I tried to up-ing my calories at time but still not losing any weight.
any ideas??
You are likely at your ideal weight.
Our sense of what looks right is so severely skewed by representing the naturally (or more usually unnaturally) underweight women as our ideal -- only 10% of the population can naturally fit into that image. Now, you are not aiming for underweight (I can see that as you are 5'6"), but the bombardment of the imagery can have an effect on having us focus on the 'bad' areas rather than taking in the overall fabulousness!
30-40% of women who diet go on to develop a compulsion about dieting. Of those, a further 30-40% develop a full-blown eating disorder. Given that your original goal has been met, it might be better to shift the focus away from losing altogether for six months.
Why not focus on enjoying your new shape? I am assuming you exercise and are active -- well mix that up and do new things because you are stronger and more flexible now -- your body can do things that it couldn't at the beginning of your journey and have you really taken enough time to relish that?
Your plan to go on to 125 will always be there if you want to revisit it -- but you've met your goal -- ENJOY!
