Stuck Looking "Pretty Good" - Any suggestions?
Now that I feel pretty good about myself, I find it's harder to keep my self control going! My clothes all fit great.. I mean, I'm doing great at maintaining, but to get those last few lbs off.. I'm going to have to dig in again.
Any suggestions? Should I wear really tight pants so I "feel" fat and don't want to eat as much? Haha.. I don't know.
If yu look good and feel good and are at a healthy weight, why not stay there?
yeah, I agree. I do the same thing, though. I would just start looking at your habits differently - you're not exercising and eating right to lose weight - you're doing it to be healthy. Keep up what you're doing and if you lose those few lbs, great. If not - so what? You're happy with how you look and you're healthy, right? So that's great!!
I've moved to a very small deficit--about 300 cals a day--and put weight on the back burner. I just kind of forget about it. I'm at 123 (5'2) with a 'goal weight' of 119...but whenever I get there is fine, and if I don't, that's fine, too. I feel satisfied eating 1600-1700 cals a day, and I burn 1900-2000. I just try to make healthy choices and stay active, but not deprive myself of occassional treats and not fixate on the scale anymore. And hey, I lose a pound about every two weeks, so eventually I'll probably get to that 119. But for now, I'm healthy, and satisfied, and there's no rush. :-)
Good luck to you!
I had to laugh at myself when I thought about wearing really tight tiny pants to simulate that "overweight" feeling, haha. Nothing like a muffin top motivator!
Seriously tho.. thanks!

Why would you try to eat only 300 calories a day? That's ridiculous. Not only is that TERRIBLE for you, it GREATLY increases the chances you'll gain it all back and it messes with your metabolism. At least bring it up to 800.
She only has a 300 calorie DEFECIT a day, not eating 300 cals total. And anyway 800 would be WAY too little also - for a woman's body to function she needs at LEAST 1200 calories.
im kind of at the same stage. but i promised myself that i was going to try to get my legs the best looking that they could be, realistically. i know that they could be better & they need a little extra fat removed to show off the muscle i know i have underneath. they are the last place weight leaves me. but im finding it hard as well.
im trying to concentrate on little things right now. like i bought some food containers and im going to measure/weigh out how much liquid, cereal, pasta, etc fits in them so i can be more accurate when portioning out my foods. i've been a little slack on that of late.
Why can athletes eat so much?
Athletes need adequate calories to offset those they burn in training and competition. They eat to either maintain their body mass or gain muscle... Read more
