Stuck for a week, need some guidence.
Okay, so I've been around the same weight (within .4 pounds) for a week now and usually I lose 1-2 pounds a week. Here are some stats
Starting weight: 178 around mid december-january
Current weight: 149.6
Height: 5'4.5"
Calories Consumed: around 1400-1500 calorie count suggests 1482 and my BMR is 1500.
Activity level: I have gotten this far without exercising, I have two jobs and I am very busy. One of my jobs is working with young children and I am running around after them, picking them up, playing with the for half of my day. I put my activity level at light. Days that I go hiking I might eat a hundred calories extra.
I eat approx. 6 times a day and go through at least 3 nalgene bottles of water.
I do not know what to do. Because my loss is so predictable, this is very out of the ordinary and it's reminding me of when I was stuck for a month at 170 (even though it's only been a week I'm just getting nervous).
I am wondering if there is something I can do or eat to kick my metabolism back into gear. I know that my mom's nutritionist puts her on a diet of mostly eggs and grapefruit for a day or two to get her metabolism up again...but she is also post menopausal so it might be different.
Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. I've come this far, I don't want it to stop! Anyways, I must rejoice at my 28.4 pound weight loss! and I am hoping for 19.4 more.
It's only been a week - especially as you get closer to your goal weight, the losses are going to become slower and more unpredictable. And if you've already lost 28.4 lb, your body might just need a break.
keep with it. and wait another week.
rinse, and repeat.
thank you guys, I know that but I needed to hear it from someone else. Hopefully, it ends soon.
Plateaus can be frustrating at times. In the past I seem to hit them at certain points but just ride them out and eventually things get moving again. Just hang in there you will be fine.
okay, it has now been two weeks with nothing substantial. :(
i guess it may be time to start back at the gym.
