I'm a health-conscious 52 year old, coping with post-menopause metabolic (?) slowdowns. I don't drink soda, go to fast food restaurants, binge on sweets, or refuse to exercise... in fact, I eat piles of fruits and veggies, drink mostly water and unsweetened ice tea, walk 1/2 to 1 hour a day... and most days I stay under 1600 calories. And yet - the weight comes and STAYS!
It's true that I do drink a glass of wine each day... have an occasional chocolate or ice cream, or a handful of chips. But could this really be my problem???
Oh - am also the mom of two teens, a freelance writer, and very involved with local singing and acting. Busy doesn't quite cover it, but am having fun!
Your thoughts are welcome!
You might try adding a bit of strength training to your routine other then that you are doing great. I am dealing with the same problem.
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
