That stupid brownie wasn't even good!

Quote  |  Reply

This morning, I binged a little. I ate a brownie. It wasn't even one of those delicious chocolate-chips-melt-in-you-mouth-and-you-can -even-taste-the-love kind that your grandma makes. It's was a store-bakery bought thing.

So I was hungry, and I thought, "Why not?" and I ate a square.

The freaking thing didn't even taste good, but I kept eating it anyway. Dx

Because I was hungry. -_-

I think next time I'll save the sweet stuff for when I'm full... then I can stop when I need to. Or when the stupid thing tastes like crap.

Has something like this ever happened to you?

I feel like the only one that doesn't even like food that much, but I eat 'cause I'm bored. xP

In the past year my tastes have changed completely. The most recent example I can pippoint was about two weeks ago. I decided, after finding out I was lactose intolerant partway into recovery, I'd eat clean. Then the other week I was offered some (rather sugary, syrupy) hard boiled sweets I used to love about a year back and thought "Ooh, why not, you only live once." And... they tasted... completely different. Not gross so much as overly sickly. It's very strange. I am ultimately happier for my changes in tastes however as I am now very open to trying new things, whereas in my earlier teen years I used to be the pickest eater imaginable.

Hah, don't consider a brownie a binge, though. But you know for the future... ah, maybe opt for the bakewell slice next time? x] Heh.

I should add: never restrict yourself things! :] Okay, the brownie didn't taste great. But be glad you didn't say no! Think of matters less a diet and more a lifestyle change, and remember you can have that brownie/cake slice/ice cream/chips et al once in a while if you want to - especially as you're still a teen living life. ^^

I was at a "candle" party and a "brown bag" party last night (2-in-1!) and the woman served the best food! UGH:( She had artichoke spinach dip with chips, crescent roll dough topped with cream cheese and veggies, brownies, and a blueberry cake! And red wine..... Well, I have to admit, I indulged! I didn't PIG out, but I did eat some and it was great... AND the brownie--it was amazing delicious, just the kind I like, moist and a little chewy around the edge! I added up all of my calories for yesterday and they were about 2050 plus I walked 40 minutes so I pretty much broke even. I feel a little bit guilty but not too bad!!

She gave me two small pieces of the blueberry cake to take home (which I never do!) and my husband and I ate tham for breakfast this morning. THEN I ate 6 pieces of bacon for lunch! I haven't had bacon since June! I have been eating about 1600-1800 calories a day, but lead a very active life style teaching yoga and spin 10x / week, walk daily, lift weights....

This is the first time in WEEKS that I felt like eating something so off the wall! Now that is out of my system, I can go back to normal....Thanks for letting me confess here as maybe not too many people will see it ;o)

First, one brownie is not a binge.  Second, I have done that.  Eaten something sweet that I didn't need and didn't even like it much.  I was irritated with myself too.  It was soo not worth it, but I ate it anyway.  I keep the memory close for the next time I am tempted to eat something unhealty when it isn't very good.  If I am going to pig out, it had better be good!

I always do that. Brownies always make me feel sick, I think because they're so rich or maybe I eat too much!

My mom bought those candy corn pumpkins (mellowcreme pumpkins??) and I indulged yesterday but they made me feel sick because they're soo sugary. I think I'm staying away from them now! Sugary indulges never turn out well, if I'm going to have a treat, I'd rather have a bagel or Togo's egg salad sandwich!

Eating one brownie is not a binge..... Eating 2 is not even a binge.... It's called having a little bit of what you fancy in MODERATION... so it didn't taste that good, at least next time you're tempted you'll stop and thing, hey last time i ate brownie it tasted like crap, why don't i eat something i will enjoy??
