Ok so I live in a surf town and I like to go to the beach, but I always get super self conscious because I have had this stubborn stupid cellulite on my legs since I think 3rd grade. I am just so fed up with these annoying lumps! I heard doing one of those "detox" diets that the celebrities do can help get rid of cellulite.
Does anybody know if this is true?
Thank you all so much for reading
Dear, I am almost 5'7'' and 118 lbs and I still have cellulite. The best advice I can give you is to just get over it cause almost all women have it. FOR REAL! Its ok.
You don't have to do a 'detox', just don't 'tox' yourself up in the first place. :-)
I can identify!! My stomach is covered in cellulite. I hate it, because I know that I would be confident in wearing a bikini if I didn't have it, as I'm happy with my weight, but the damn cellulite ruins all these plans! (BTW, I know you can't really see it in my pictures, but it's there - that it is, no mistake!!!!) I am planning to buy a body brush and start that, also start doing toning exercises, doing more cardio and eating healthily. Hopefully it will work! I'll let you know if anything works!
I am interested in this body brushing thing. Has anyone tried it? Do you have any other information on it?
I just wanted to post again to say thank you all so much! You were all helpful and I look forward to trying body brushing (I have never heard of it before).
Thanks again!
I've done body brushing...I don't know if it helps all that much but it's great for exfoliating so I still do it...I just got a cream that I started using last night..it's from bliss it's called 'fatgirlsleep' you put it on before bed and rub it in for 20-30 seconds supposedly it's good...we'll see.
what I've also heard abut cellulite it has to do with genetics and heritage and for some people different foods make it more apparent for example carbonated beverages or dairy...it's all about tissues breaking down, not being 'fat'
"The part about brushing toward the heart 'to encourage the return of blood' made me laugh.... " actually what they should've really specified is the lymph system, not the blood. supposedly brushing the other way puts too much pressure on the lymph valves, so its better to do it towards the heart.
i've had my cellulite for decades just about, even when i was super skinny. i think the longer you have had it, the harder it is to get rid of. cellulite isn't just fat & fluid. basically the fibrous strands get more & more stretched as time goes on. especially if you have lost & gain & lost weight before. but there is supposed to be a way of helping that as well. i just have not found anything that really helps. gaining muscle by weight training has made things a little less jiggly & losing weight has made it less pronounced, but it is still definately there for me.
im still working on it. but i love body brushing, just because it makes me feel all tingly & stimulates the immune system.
I also found this really interesting method of dealing with cellulite:

I plan to try it tonight or tomorrow...... Hopefully it won't cause 'small bruises!' What I do in the name of beauty!!
