Stupid Questions-I Just Don't Understand
OK, I have been on CC for 6+ weeks now and I lost ~10lbs in the first month. For the last two weeks I have been stagnant. I changed my profile to sedentary because I no longer work at a nursing home, where I worked two 16 hour shifts and according to CC burned over 4000 cal each shift. I now work doing bio-monitoring two days per week which entails walking in waders upstream in rivers 2-4ft deep and holding 25x4ft nets catching all of the stuff in the river (it gets very heavy). According to the closest activity on CC, fishing in water, in waders, I burn 1600-1800 on these days. I checked my daily intake averages and so far this month I have averaged 1301cal/day (1300 is my goal). I then averaged my activity and I burn approximately 700 cal in addition to my BMR, if I understand how to do this. My question is why has my weight lost stopped? I thought I was supposed to calculate all of the things that I do that don't fall under everyday activity, so I add the time I spend driving to class each day (2hrs) the time spent in class (2-4hrs), but I don't count making dinner, and the other stuff I just do. Am I not supposed to count class and the time spent getting there? I just ordered JM's 30 day Shred so I will be getting more regular workouts. Should I up my activity level when I start doing it everyday? I have checked the forum library for these questions, but they just made me more confused. Sorry I'm being stupid, but I thought I understood how this worked. I guess I don't. Thanks for the help.

I would stop adding in any extra activities, as it sounds like it's just making things more confusing. Pick your activity level, and leave it at that. Check what your burn meter says then, and -500.
Okay, you have lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks, more than a pound a week, so congratulations!
Don't worry about the stagnation in loss, just keep maintaining a 700 calorie deficit and the weight will start coming back off. For me, it always (after the first few weeks) comes off in fits and starts, and as long as I don't start overreacting and making a lot of changes, I'm fine.
Ditto joanne811 to just pick an activity level (I use lightly active, sounds as if you might be moderately active) and subtract 500. Then, if you lose a pound a week (on average) you'll know your activity level is correct. If you lose more, you can bump up to the next level.
If you are finding it difficult to eat only 1300 calories per day, consider bumping it up a little, the weight will still come off, just more slowly.
I think that you have a good handle on what you are doing. Your body may just need some time to adjust--this is normal. Good job on the weight loss, just keep up what you are doing and you will see the results in time.
Thanks Everyone, I just felt a little confused. I'm going to bump up my activity level to light activity since most days I am I'm school, when I start working out 5-6 days per week I may bump it up again.
