Anyone else HATE the scale? For the most part it seems like most of you are "proscale" but i really hate that beast! I know apx what I weigh (150 lbs) and I have to fight like the devil to get into the 140's so I'd just asoon not see the scale flexuate 1-2 lbs on a daily basis...I tend to beat myself up over little gains and not big enough losses... Plus it seems like you can get on 2-3 times w/in a minuet and have it tell you all kinds of different numbers?
Anyone have any other scale issues?

YES!! I hate my scale at the moment!! I have been in a plateau for 8 weeks so its NOT my friend right now!! If your scale varies like that then maybe its not reliable. I have a HEALTH-O-METER that I picked up at Walmart for 40 bucks and its awesome! It knows the old gallon of milk trick and the glass of water trick too! Test yours and see.
Yup. Agree 100%. 'hate the beast' also. LOL. That was classic!
The scale can be such a ball & chain! I don't weigh myself regularly anymore. I pay more attention to how my clothes fit. Unfortunately, here on cc they only give you a choice of a weight goal. My real goal is to be a size 10 rather than my goal weight.
I know a lot of people say to weigh yourself everyday, but I wouldn't be able to handle the no change. I weigh myself once a week, right away in the morning and only step on once. What it says goes. I don't know if that helps, but it works for me!
yea, my scale is absolutely horrible. it gave me THREE different numbers the other day! I have no idea what I am now! And we just bought that stupid scale! I think its broken, but I dont know why. Even when its not broken it makes me mad, though, lol.
Wow, I thought I was the only one kicking my scale around when It didnt show me what I wanted to see. I have a bad habit of weighing myself all day long, im almost obsessive lol. I think I need to give dh the scale to hide so that I only weigh in once a week. It
I laughed all the way to the scale this morning knowing what I'd see. I ate a huge meal right before bed and sure enough, 2 extra lbs were waiting for me :)
Ok this is too funny -

Good to see i'm not the only one physically abusing my scale!!! I have litterally thrown it against the tile more than once! No wonder that little bugger is not kind to be... Maybe I should treat it better and it will be kind to me. : p
I have a plan though- OK so I told you that I am apx 150 lbs (give or take a couple, probably more like give) so this is going to be my NEW plan... The scale at the gym is one like the doctors offices have w/the sliding weights- I am going to Hook it to 100 and if I get all the way up to 50 and it's not ballanced I am gong to jump off and keep working... I WILL NOT MOVE THAT WEIGHT TO THE 150 MARK and go from there... I just won't. I *think* saturday is going to be weight day... wish me luck!

I hate my scale. One day I'm 172 and the next 174-175. It's ridiculous. I'm glad I'm not the only one, hah.
I think I weigh myself every time I brush my teeth. It's too much!
I hate the scale, too! I don't own one--I just use the one at the gym. Haven't weighed myself in a few weeks because we are switching gym memberships so i've just been walking hills (STEEP!) outside, but my clothes fit the same. I think if i owned one i would get obsessive compulsive about it! I agree, it is a ball and chain. What a horrible thing by which to define our identities!
I hate my scale, it tries to trick me. It gets me all happy by saying I've lost 2lb, but then not long after it says I have gain 5lb! grrr.
And at the end of the week, it says I haven't lost anything, so I go to my weight watchers meeting dreading what is to come, but find out I have lost! So when I get home I jump on it again and it also says I've lost (like what it told me before was just to make me sad).
My scale is the devil... it is also probably slightly broken.

I hate the scale, too, that's why I don't own one. When I weigh myself I go to my mother's house, which is once or twice a month. Owning a scale would only depress me, getting on and off 5 times a day without any major changes....
I concour with Weirdkitty. ARGH!
