I will succeed!!!

Quote  |  Reply

My name is Nikki.  I am 26.  I am 5'3 and currently weigh 230 (eeks).  I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life and I am tired of it.  I feel gross, I look gross and I am not healthy.  I am going to change that.  My "lifestyle change" started today and I will not stop until I have succeeded!!  I plan on losing 50lbs initially, and then 20-30 more.  I want to feel good, I want to look good (for myself and my fiance) and I want to be healthy (for myself, my fiance and our little boy).  I am encouraging everyone to become my friend and to join me on my journey for this life-altering change.  It won't be easy for me, I will struggle.  I will mess up and I will fall off.  However, what makes this time different is that I will pick myself up and keep going...with the help of my family, friends, and now you :-)  I just want to thank you in advance and hope to have all of your support!!!

PS.  I plan on updating my journal daily with stories, complaints, and exciting news.  My goal for May is to lose 15 pounds.  Wish me luck :-)

Amen to that!

That was me in March and I am 10.5lbs lighter. I fell off twice but I'm still losing and I'm 9lbs from my original goal. What was important for me was that I kept going even though I had McDonald's one day and lasagna another. I kept going and didn't give up.

Congrats on the life change.
You can do it. I know you can! And we're all here to help :)

Have a nice, healthy day!

Hey, I was in the same place a few months ago I'm 25, 5'2ish, wieghed 235 at my highest now down to 218.

This is a great site, welcome and good luck!!!

I was looking at your BIO and noticed that you had a little weight goal scale...where do you get that?  I want to add a few to my bio!

Good luck!  You can do this!  I've been around cc on and off for a couple of years and LOVE it!  I'm currently getting back into the swing of things and hope to lose 30+ pounds.  I'll add you and cheer you on!  Congratulations on taking control of your life, it's an awesome feeling!  :)

If you click on People your page will come up. Click Edit page & ther will be an option to add a ticker. Choose your background & ticker & it'll be added to your bio. HTH?

LOL  i started out here weighing 218 & i would've been happy just getting under 200!!!  i didn't even think that would be possible!!!

now i'm 144, AND people are already calling me too skinny.  i'm NOT!!!  i'm not done yet...  i am close though...

i have learned so much here, AND this really IS a lifestyle change!!!  go for it!!!  it's worth it, it's totally worth it!!!  you were NOT born to be fat!!!  NONE of us were!!!  :D

stick to CC and your dreams WILL come true.  good luck!

The biggest step is realising you need to do this!

So now you can just enjoy the journey, experiment with new foods, get fitter and begin to feel as amazing about yourself as you should!

Muchos luck and good wishes!

You can do it!  Always ask any questions that you have, no matter how trivial the question may seem to you - you never know when someone else is wondering the same thing.  Even when things get tough, you'll find a lot of support here to help you persevere.  Perseverance is what will keep you on track (or get you back there if you fall off a bit).  Congrats on your decision, and good luck!

Hi Nikki and way to go on your new lifestyle.  As time goes on, it gets easier to get used to this new way of living.  It really does!  We will be here to make sure you stay on track and also give ya a kick in the butt if you needSurprised

Yes Journal your heart out!  It really helps to get those feelings out.  Best of luck to you and hope to chat some time

Hi Nikki!

I am also 26, 5'2" myself, and came to the same realization that I was not happy nor healthy at 190lbs in November.  Today, I weighed in at 148.6, and I am wearing jeans that I have not worn for years!  I am also loving the energy and happiness I feel about life now.  Making simple, livable changes is the key to safe, sustainable long term weight loss.  It is so worth it!  And keep in mind that no one is perfect; sometimes you will need to eat those foods that you are craving, or you will find yourself in a situation where there is no healthy choice.  Just hop back on the healthy bandwagon for the next meal, and it will all even out in the end!  Best wishes! :)
