Success stories? I really need some inspiration.

I really need inspiration right now. I would love to see some before & after pics if anyone would like to share. I feel so gross right now & just really need to know that this can actually be done.

Thanks

Hi there.  I don't have a before or after picture posted, but if you check out my journal, the one on the right is me "during".  I saw a picture of myself weighing 190 lbs and could not believe it was me.  I wanted to cry.  When this picture was taken I weighed 172 lbs.  This morning I weighed 164.2 lbs.  Somehow, I will get it figured out how to download pictures from my camera.  The picture you see is from an email.  My computer is very old.  I'm lucky to have the internet.  I'll probably have to go to a friends house and download there and send myself an email.

Please, please, don't give up.  According to CC I have 32 lbs to go.  I've been at this weight before (I actually weigh what my DL says!), but this is the point I have given up.  I don't know why, but this time I am determined to make it and stay there.  I'm learning discipline.  My goal is to weigh 135 lbs before I turn 50 next year. I've got a thousand tricks of the dieting trade to share if you have questions.  I don't know all the answers because every day I read a post about a new question.  Feeling gross is a state of mind.  Your picture is beautiful, and I see nothing gross about it.  I hope others will share their pictures with you.

I began this journey on May 12.  I'm hoping to be really close to a 30 lb loss by Tuesday, August 12.  That's about 10 lbs a month, which is not too shabby.  Many lose more, many lose less.  CC says I should reach my goal date the beginning of March.  I know you can do it.

I hope I have inspired you.  I don't know what else to say right now.  I'll help when ever you ask.  ~Tonnie~

it CAN totally be done, although there are bumps in the road:-)

started at 262 lbs. now am 193. i have oscillated around 200 for ages due to eating too much, hopefully am back on track now

This CAN be done! I am 5'2 and within 6 months I lost 30lbs on a 5'2 frame. I was 140 and hit 110 by New Years 2007.

This was not without cheat days and vacation thrown in there for good measure.

I now as of this morning weigh 104.8 and guess what? I have cheat nights 2-3 times a week because I keep a watch the other 4-5 days and it evens out. =)

I never thougth I would be thin...ever... sometimes I can't even believe I go out to dinner and order what I want and am just careful not to overeat or stuff myself to the limit and I maintain this weight.

You can do this!

You can do this!  One day at a time.  Everyone here takes it one day at a time.  Don't beat yourself up if you mess up one day because tomorrow is another day.

I too am 5'7 and started out weighing 178, although when I started here I was at 172.5.  That was last Sept or Oct, I can't remember right now.  I hung out here everyday until late Nov when I got lazy, was able to maintain for the most part though.  Came back as soon as I started gaining again and as of today I am down to 146.  Only 8 more pounds to go.  I have a few pictures posted on my page and you can see the difference.  I was amazed when I compared them.

Everyone here will help you as much as you need.  Just remember you can do it!  One day at a time!

Good Luck!
