Successful Stories...

I would LOVE to hear stories of people who have gained or are in the process of gaining to a healthy weight and are HAPPY about it. The changes that they have experienced in energy, vitality, body image... what have you. I heard someone mention the other day that they were initially afraid to gain because they thought that they would be SO unhappy and huge and then once it happened they realized that their curves, and/or muscles, actually give them confidence- now THAT'S motivation. So bring it on- in the process of gaining, what positive changes have you experienced?

1) I am not freezing anymore like I was at 160

2) I am stronger now than I was at 160 or 235 (my original weight)

3) I probably look better, but no one has told me so (no one has told me I look heavier either; a girl in my class doesn't believe I've gained 15 lbs since Thanksgiving!)

I love having...

ENERGY

A SMILE!!

More social relationships with my friends and family

As far as successes go, I am still working each and everyday to better my health and my life in general. I can honestly say that I have never been better. I love living! I look back on the really really bad days where I always struggled to make it walking to class or work. I remember when coffee was my savior to curb cravings....but now if I am hungry I eat...and I am definitely starting to venture out more and love food for the first time in a long time.

I will update sooner than later!
i'vd gained 10lbs since last year and...

I'M NOT TIRED ALL THE TIME!!
people tell me the glow is back in my face and the shine is back in my hair. i eat all the time, small meals rather than living to feel like im going to faint of hunger at any minute.

I CAN GO OUT TO EAT WITH FRIENDS!! i  just choose healthy options!!

it's great!!!

im eating a lot and gaining at the moment .. as a result

i have SO MUCH ENERGY
i dont get dizzy all the time
i dont have those stupid hairs all over my back and stomach that you get when you're underweight for some reason
clearer skin, thicker hair
CLOTHES starting to actually look nice again!!
boobs!! lol a huge motivation for me when i started noticing a difference there!
and generally feeling much more possitive about.. pretty much everything

I agree with the dizzy thing - I used to have trouble standing up because I'd just fall right back down!

I'm so glad to fill out a real bra and not have to go to the little girl's department and get training bras.

I have a lot of definition in my abs without seeing my ribs! When I was 95 pounds, my skin just kinda hung off my body and looked bad. Now, I have muscle to fill it out. My shoulders have more muscle too, and it makes me look proportional. I like being proportional =)

Finding jeans is still very difficult, but not absolutely impossible like it was when I was 98 lbs at 6'0".

I can concentrate much better now that my brain has something to work on than eating itself. Like others have posted, I don't constantly worry about fainting. My bed sheets aren't full of hair anymore. Sitting in a non-padded chair isn't painful anymore. I can walk run up a flight of stairs.

I'm now also a better person to be around. Tomorrow actually holds promise of happiness. During my ED, I would go to bed at night just to think, "Well, tomorrow I get to relive today again - Greaaaat..."
It all starts for me today, 49kgs aiming for my perfect weight of around 60kgs.  Thanks for your comments a glimpse of the future ..... happiness in myself.

I'm warm. :)
