Everything at the store is like 130-160 calories for TWO cookies. Is there any that are lower calories? What about home baked cookies, would they have less? I want chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies :(

I found some. Sorry I can't think of the brand right now and am out of them but I found them in the health food section of the grocery store like where the tiger bars and fitness bars are and sugar free cookies are.

They are sugar free but you can eat 4 for 100 calories. To me they taste just like the mint chocolate girl scout cookies and are about the same size.

For me they are a wonderful treat now and then. ONly thing is keeping my roomie away from them too LOL

oh my goodness the stores that i go to have chocolate chip cookies for like 500 calories each! what kind are the 130 for two?

well baking them at home definitly helps you control the calories:) i am in love with baking and cooking and try something new every day. however, i always add healthy twists (but with choc. chip cookies, its kinda hard to get TOO healthy:)

so find a good recipe, and to cut down on the cals, use No calorie splenda, and since choc chip cookies require brown sugar, use the brown sugar splenda mix which is half the cals of regular brown sugar. use egg whites instead of whole eggs, and if you wish:use light butter.

Shiagirl I am depending on you finding out what those cookies were!
I am the master at looking up low-cal desserts.  ;)  (just try googling it; tons of stuff comes up) Anyway, I've found and tried many of them, but I don't know...  I guess cookies are coookies, and I always want to eat a lot, and don't get much out of them.  I prefer biscotti.  There are some really high-fat, high-calorie recipes, but there are also some that are a lot less!  True, the biscotti is sometimes just really small, and that's why they're so low-cal, but it doesn't bother me as much as the cookies.  I guess it's because I usually have a biscotti with a cup of coffee, so it's more like a nice little added treat, instead of "oh gee, I have this one little cookie to eat, now."
LOL doris........i will get the name as soon as I get back to the grocery store and let ya know ;)
shiagirl - are they tiny cookies? We had some oatmeal cookies that were 4 @ 130cal, but they're like 1.5" diametre. meh they're probably only an American brand =(

I don't know if this is any help but Trader Joes sells these cookies called lowfat ginger 'cat' cookies. Their basically like ginger snaps in the shape of cats (look sort of like animal crackers, I guess). They have 120 calories for 15 cats. It actually feels like a lot of cookies too!

vicerine.....yes they are small , about the size of the mint chocolate girl scout cookie but they are very chocolatey and yummy.

soccerj.....i've had those cookies and they are pretty good. I did buy animal cookies the other day made with fruit juice and they are 110 calories for 14 cookies. Mmmmmmmmmmm

130 cal for two isnt much when you consider they are nutritionally empty. But you can make them lower cal and at least more healthy

YEs, home baked is usually better as you can control it more
This isnt my site or anything, but I love it!
Breakfast cookies here
Try these oat and choc chip squares
And low fat/cal cookeis here - 61 cal per cookies but the point is you can control it and cookies arent food, they're treats.
These PB ones are nice, tho not very nutritious
Or try meringue cookies - 17 cal
Molasses - using black strap is healthier
If youa re looking for store bought ones, try sponge finger biscuits - tehy're very low cal/fat (about 30 each) and turn to sponge when you dunk htem in tea. They use them to make tiramisu
The low fat Vanilla Wafers are good...I like to dip them in non fat vanilla yogurt for a treat.  11 cookies have 110 calories & 2grms of fat.

oh I saw those at the grocery store, they were in the oatmeal section (weird?), didn't actually look at them though but maybe I will now :)

I've tried this recipe today and the cookies taste pretty good! No eggs, almost no fat. 88calories for a cookie. Not bad!

Home baked can be less if you don't eat them all in one sitting. I would (& then I would struggle with the urge to purge) so I never bake unless I'm taking it all to someone else. I can't even keep a box of cookies in the house, low calorie or not. They call to me. Loudly.

I live in the city & there are several organic artisnal bakeries around, many even have delicious vegan treats. When I really want to splurge I call a friend, meet at a Patisserie & get myself ONE treat & enjoy it slowly with some good company & a tea or coffee. It's so satisfying to have something "real" & safer for me because I can't just return to the box for "just one more" (i.e. "the whole box")

They have a bunch of different cookie variations in the 100-calorie-snack-packs now, too...'Course, I don't know what the fat would be.

These pleasantly lemony cookies have a lot of yummy, lemony, buttery flavor and are crispy! Only 40 calories per cookie!

Weight Watchers Cookies!!!!

amazing!!! :)

Bethenny Frankel's Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe makes 48 smallish cookies at 35 cals apiece.  If you substitute Truvia for sugar you can get it down to 27 cals apiece.  I use the mini chocolate chips as they distribute more evenly among so many cookies.  Also I use regular milk if I don't have soy.  Non-dieters even like these! (Or at least they say they do :)

you can try some of those peanut butter cracker sandwiches from keebler... It's 200 for the entire package and there are 6 in there. I like to lick the stuff in the middle and then eat it like 2 crackers. haha. Occasional treat for me, I used to eat it everyday for like two weeks. lol

or otherwise i just eat a real cookie once in awhile...

I like Publix brand's Ginger snaps- You get to eat 6 for 140 cals, and there a good size, about the size of an oreo. They're not healthy or anything, white flour and sugar like regular cookies, but at least they're low cal. ( And Vegan!, which is exciting to me)

I have found the best cookies are Stouffer's animal crackers, both in chocolate and vanilla.  I love them both!  You can have 16 of these for only 120 calories.  I have a handful almost every night in winter with a cup of fat free hot cocoa.  They last long, they are crunchy and take a while to eat and although they never really tempted me before, I am now a big fan.  I never realized how flavorful they are - especially the chocolate ones!  And they are very cheap, too!  Walmart sells a huge bag of vanilla ones for like $2.00.   I fill a huge plastic tub with them and dig in.
