is there such thing as low(ish) cal cookies??

The low fat Vanilla Wafers are good...I like to dip them in non fat vanilla yogurt for a treat. 11 cookies have 110 calories & 2grms of fat.

Hate to correct even though its a small correction - a serving size for the reduced fat Nilla Wafers is actually 8 cookies not 11 (11oz is the box size) https://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/ser vlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=100 52&productId=359010&catalogId=10002&a mp;krypto=QJrbAudPd0vzXUGByeatog%3D%3D&dd key=http:ProductDisplay
I don't know the calorie count on these...but I've got to believe that they're healthier than your standard choc. chip cookie:

I made these for a vegan co-worker's last day and (while I wasn't a huge fan) the whole office devoured them. I used Sugar in the Raw instead of white sugar (for vegan reasons) and I'm sure you could use non-vegan choc. chips if you prefer.
Good luck on your quest!
I would think there would have to be a way to really cut down on the calories in a cookie by not only substituting splenda for sugar, but by substituting the flour and butter with other ingredients. Not understanding the function of these ingredients in creating the cookie (I am definitely not a chef!) I am not sure what would work. I love oatmeal cookies - any ideas?

Everything at the store is like 130-160 calories for TWO cookies. Is there any that are lower calories? What about home baked cookies, would they have less? I want chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies :(
What a coincidence. Yesterday I made oatmeal cookies to take to my gardening club and they turned out to be really delicious. I didn't figure all of the nutritional facts but you could, easily, and I think that you will not think that these are diet cookies if you make them - and they are cheap to make:
Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - basic recipe from B. Crocker's Cooky Book - 1963
Set oven to 325°F
- 2 C. oatmeal
- 1/2 C. Splenda Brown Sugar (Splenda says use half of what you would regular brown sugar, so this would be 1 C. of regular)
- 1/4 C. Grape-ola Grapeseed Oil (much higher in MUFAs than olive oil; only use half as much as a recipe calls for, so this would be 1/2 C. of veg. oil)
- 2 egg whites, beat to froth
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/2 t. almond extract
- 1/2 C. dried fruit, I dried my own pineapple bits and maraschino cherries(recipe calls for chopped dates, if desired)
- 1/2 C. GrapeNuts cereal (recipe calls for chopped walnuts, if desired)
Stir together the oats, sugar, and oil in mixing bowl. Beat egg whites until frothy and add to oat mixture. Stir in salt and almond extract. Stir in fruit and GrapeNuts. I used an ice cream scoop to make each cookie the same size. Drop on lightly oiled baking sheet (or baking paper would be even better, these can stick). Bake 15 minutes. Cool; remove from baking sheet. Makes about 2 dozen medium sized cookies with a small ice cream scoop.
THESE DONT TASTE LIKE DIET COOKIES - BE CAREFUL lol
I make homemade oatmeal cookies and allow myself a couple a day. Remember when you make them at home the plus is you are not using any preservatives, they are fresh and you know what you put in them. I use cranberries alot.
i know some cookies which are 150 cal and have 9-10gms of protein in them, the size of the cookie is good enough and filling. they are TASTY atleast up 70percent of the ordinary cookies.
they are TRI-O-PLEX CHOCOLATE COOKIES . you will find them at health food stores like hi health i mean all those stores with protein shakes.
try them , the best part is they are total guilt free snacks.
Hi, I found some in the diabetic corner of my supermarket. They are oat and cinnamon. (Something to do with the cinnamon - it makes you feel full. I sprinkle it on porridge and even the occasional cappuccino.) You can have 4 cookies for 100 Cals. Granted they are small but with a cup of herbal tea, (I like vanilla Rooibos, South African - delicious and naturally caffeine free) you feel like you are having a treat. But to be honest, I am discovering if you have the time, you are better off baking a healthy carrot cake, banana or zucchini bread - with fruit and nuts and having a small ( 1/2) portion without icing. There is so much 'rubbish' in processed foods it's quite scary!
I love the Right Bites 100 Calorie Chips Deluxe cookies. I have been trying to figure out the recipe for these so that I can make my own using just a few mini chocolate chips. I figured I could bake them up and portion them in baggies. Anyone know how they get them to be so light and crispy?
I just made these oatmeal cookies last night... My take on a Williams Sonoma recipe that turned out DELICIOUS and only 67 calories per cookie!

To make them even more low cal you could sub more applesauce for the rest of the butter!
