Sudden Hunger....

Quote  |  Reply
I started CC last July and have lost 31 pounds. Small numbers compared to some but huge for me. Didn't gain during the holidays and winter which is even a bigger accomplishment! Here's my problem...it feels like all of the sudden I"m hungry! Always wanting to snack and I don't know why! I drink only water, I consume around 1500 calories a day, I exercise 3-5 days a week, and I am totally shocked by the way I am feeling. Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do if you have felt like this? I'm afraid after all this progress that I'll start to gain all because I'm hungry. I have been eating (prior to this sudden hunger) every 2-3 hours so that I wouldn't feel this way. Now it seems I could eat every five minutes! I'd love some helpful advice. Thanks so much in advcance! (I know for a fact I'm not pregnant, just in case someone thought that could be why)

Age, weight, height please =)

How many calories burnt at the gym/workout?
Have you made significant lean muscle gains in that time?  The answer is probably yes given the amount of exercise you do.  Exercise also works to increase your metabolism and keeps your RMR/BRM high.  As you get healthier and more muscular, and your workouts become more intense (you can push yourself harder due to improved health, etc), you will require more calories each day to maintain your own weight.

Keep eating, keep exercising, keep "pumping iron."
