I wish I had the patience to only weigh once a week, but I view my scales as a tool (albeit a somewhat fallible and sometimes highly infuriating tool).

I don't even bother weighing during TTOM.  But the scales are otherwise kind of helpful.  E.g., if I weigh first thing in the morning and I'm up half a pound, then I consider watching my sodium and drinking more water that day.

For some reason, I can typically coast on a 500-700 calorie deficit for about 4 days, and then I get REALLY HUNGRY.  I just stick with the same deficit, and boom, I wake up down by 1/2-1 pound.

Here's my question:
Do you ever notice yourself getting really hungry before the scales suddenly go down?

I've never noticed this. I'll have to pay more attention to how I feel before the scale goes down. The only time I get really hungry is right before TTOM.

Now that you mention it, that just happened to me. I'll have to pay more attention. I thought it was because I drank a diet soda. I've read that aspartame can make you hungry, so I'm "testing" that theory, too.

I'll be checking back to see what others say.
