still suffering from Christmas?

Quote  |  Reply

Hey everyone,

So I weighed myself last Wednesday and was 135...I overate for like 5 hours (dinner + dessert) on Christmas...I ate wayyy over what I normally eat so wasn't shocked at all to see the scale go up to 142.0 the next day.... I know that this was just water weight. But now today (Wednesday) nearly a week later I am still at 138.5...is this still most likely water weight or has it been too long meaning this is now my actual weight that I may have gained from that splurge? ahhh this is why I ate deviating at all from my normal eating patterns because I always end stuck upward and it drives me nuts!

My weight went up as well, and did not go back down. Also, I now have a tendency to eat non stop.. I blame the dinner on Christmas Eve, lol!

ahhh I was going down then get on the scale today (now over a week after my X-mas slip up) and am 141...that is only one pound less than I weighed the day after X-mas and like 6 lbs higher than what I started from!!! what is going on? did i actually gain that weight?  I ate/esercised like usual over the past week....so confused right now and ready to just like binge or go on a diet or something

I keep reading about all those calories you must eat to gain weight but I find the pounds come and stay much easier for me.  I feel you pain!

That is EXACTLY how I feel...everyone is like oh 3,500 cals etc. etc....and while I def. believe that is true...I just don't understand why anytime that I overindulge for like a few simple hours my body goes completely out of wack and gains weight that sticks around not for days, but weeks....it just makes no freakin sense and is sooo annoying

The same thing happens to me, I swear it take me only 400 extra calories to gain a pound and then minus 3500 to loose one pound. I keep looking into this and I know there are others like me out there. I found you!

i feel the same way.  i splurged for christmas - and since then i just can't get back on track.  i think tomorrow i will finally be less tempted and monday i start work again - but i haven't weighed since the friday before xmas.. so i'm pretty scared.  i've also found it hard to drink enough water lately... i really hope i didn't undo everything i worked for since july.
