Sugar-Free Jell-o Pudding

I can't seem to make it right!

It never turns into 'pudding' for me. Its just sweeeet milk, which is still delicious, but I expected pudding!

Any ideas / fool proof instructions for me??

I guess I spoil myself a little bit - I usually get the sugar free Jello pudding premade and premeasured in the cups from the refrigerated section of the store.

As for the mix - sorry if this is a stupid question, but are you sure you're measuring the milk correctly according to the directions?

Did you buy the kind you have to cook on the stove or the kind you just add milk and put in the fridge?

If the skim milk is not ICE COLD prior to mixing it wont set up right
Make sure you read the directions, if you dont' cook the cook and serve kind it wont set.  I LIVE on this stuff (I know it has a lot of artificial junk in it) and never have problems.  The cook and serve tastes better to me, but the instant has more flavors.

Santonacci - nope, im not measuring the milk amounts, i usually just try and eyeball it, which is probably the issue. I probably put too much milk.... cause I try and 'stretch' the pudding haha (so i have more). But I still find it really sweet..... (even if its not pudding, so if i used less milk, it might be too sweet, if thats possible!!)

Marc - ah ok! i'll try popping it in the freezer for a 20 minutes or so next time beforehand!

I'm using the instant kind.
Are you using soy milk? That happened to me and I later saw on the package NOT to use soy milk. The cooking kind seems to get thicker, too!
make sure you get the instant.  i have bought the cook-n-serve without knowing it, then I stand there wondering why it will not set up.
